Unparalleled driving experience

The Urus SE also offers an unrivalled driving experience thanks to a plug-in hybrid system that helps to improve the performance and dynamics of the vehicle on any road surface and in any conditions: more torque and power at any rpm through innovative technological solutions, such as the introduction of an electric torque vectoring system between the two axles, as well as an electronic rear differential.

The twin-turbo 4.0 V8 engine has been redesigned to work optimally with the electric powertrain. It has a power of 620 CV (456 kW) and a drive torque of 800 Nm; The combustion unit, combined with the electric powertrain, delivers 192 CV (141 kW) and 483 Nm of torque. In the process of providing maximum output, the main focus is on the calibration strategy between the internal combustion engine and the electric motor, reaching a total output of 800 CV to ensure an optimal power profile in every driving mode and on every road surface. The 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery is located below the load floor and above the electronically controlled rear differential. The permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, located inside the 8-speed automatic transmission, not only acts as a supercharger for the V8 internal combustion engine, but also as a traction element, making the Urus SE a 100% electric 4WD vehicle capable of driving more than 60 km.

Debuting on the Urus SE is a new central longitudinal electric torque vectoring system with electro-hydraulic multi-plate clutch, which distributes drive torque variably and continuously between the front and rear axles. The transfer case works in tandem with a new electronic limited-slip differential mounted on the rear axle to enable the vehicle to oversteer "on demand" to convey the feel of a thoroughbred supercar.

Both systems are designed and calibrated to best suit any type of grip condition and driving style, providing maximum traction and agility whether driving on the track, desert dunes, ice or dirt.

The Urus SE is unique in its class, delivering more torque and power at any rpm or driving condition. With a total power output of 800 CV (588 kW) at 6000 rpm and 950 Nm of torque at 1750 rpm and up to 5750 rpm, the system ensures best-in-class performance from all angles. This is also due to a further weight-to-power ratio: 3.13 kg/CV (3.3 for the Urus S). The Urus SE accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds (Urus S: 3.5) and from 0 to 200 km/h in 11.2 seconds (Urus S: 12.5) and reaches a top speed of 312 km/h (Urus S: 305 km/h). These numbers make the SE the most powerful Urus ever and the fastest production car in the segment, setting a new benchmark in the super SUV category.

Design & AerodynamicsUrus SE redefines the style code of the model, changing the paradigm of SUV design, while its product line has been updated with the clear goal of optimizing aerodynamic efficiency.

The design accentuates the dynamics of the styling and highlights the sportiness and muscularity of the vehicle. The new hood with a floating design at the front, without cut-off lines, gives a sense of continuity that enhances the sporty style of the Urus SE, reminiscent of some of the new styling concepts introduced by the Revuelto. Other new elements include a headlight cluster with matrix LED technology, the introduction of a new light signature inspired by the tail of a Lamborghini branded bull, and a redesigned bumper and front grille. At the rear, the cargo hatch has been completely redesigned to introduce a Gallardo-inspired continuity that harmonizes the lines by connecting the tail light clusters with the "Y" shaped lights and a new rear diffuser, giving the vehicle a sportier look. Together with the new spoiler, the diffuser increases rear downforce by 35% compared to the Urus S at high speeds, further enhancing the vehicle's stability. New underbody vents and improved air ducts also improve aerodynamic efficiency, directing more airflow to cool machinery and engine components: a 15% improvement over the original Urus. The new design of the front, combined with the optimisation of the aerodynamic bottom, also improves the management of the airflow dedicated to the braking system, with 30% more air cooling than the previous system.

Technologically advanced interiors

The cab has been updated to highlight Lamborghini's signature "feel like a pilot" design DNA, with new solutions at the front of the dashboard and emphasizing the lightness already introduced on the Revuelto. A larger screen (now 12.3 inches) was installed in the center of the dashboard, equipped with a new version of the Human Machine Interface (HMI), and updated graphics were more intuitive to use, in line with the Revuelto. Lamborghini Centro Stile designers also focused on the vents; The anodized aluminum decorative elements have a pronounced Y-shape; and new panels, seats, and dashboard coverings. The mechanical button panel gives a more tactile feel. Drivers have access to a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the aforementioned 12.3-inch touchscreen display, which are integrated in the center of the dashboard and at the heart of the Lamborghini Infotainment System (LIS). It also includes a dedicated telemetry system for the SE and new displays related to driver assistance systems to better perceive the surrounding environment.

Customization and personalization

The Urus SE offers a range of customization options that are unmatched in its class. The alloy wheels have been updated with the introduction of 23-inch Galanthus wheels and new Pirelli P Zero tyres as standard. The P Zero is available in 3 dedicated sizes, from 21 inches to 23 inches, to meet the different requirements of customers for comfort and sportiness. Scorpion Winter 2 tires are suitable for the cold season. All of these products feature Pirelli Elect technology, which was developed to enhance the characteristics of the first electric Urus. The color range has also been expanded, with over 100 bodywork now available, including two new colors available at launch: Arancio Egon (orange), paired with Arancio Apodis (orange) interior, and Bianco Sapphirus (white), paired with Arancio Apodis (orange) interior. Terra Kedros (terracotta) interior. Interior options include 47 color combinations and four embroideries (Q-citura stitching), as well as additional potential through the Ad Personam program, which enables owners to build the Urus SE into a truly one-of-a-kind.

Four different driving styles

The "Tamburo" selector unit in the center of the console is used to select different driving modes. Thanks to the introduction of the hybrid powertrain, six Urus driving modes are combined with four new Electric Performance Strategies (EPS) for a total of 11 options. Strada, Sport and Corsa modes (for road and track) and Neve, Sabbia and Terra modes (for surfaces with different grips than asphalt) are now available with EV Drive, Hybrid, Performance and Recharge options. EV Drive allows drivers to experience and take full advantage of the potential of electricity. It has been developed and calibrated for city driving, with an electric range of more than 60 km and a top speed of more than 130 km/h. Above this speed, the V8 engine automatically supports the electric motor, and again, if the torque demand exceeds the maximum available to the electric motor. Hybridization is an option when driving in Strada mode, which offers maximum efficiency and comfort as well as the best balance between the internal combustion engine and the electric motor, making it the most versatile option for everyday driving. Available in Strada, Sport, Corsa, and Neve modes, Recharge charges up to 80% of the battery while maintaining peak performance. The performance options offer an experience for those who want to appreciate the full potential of the Urus SE, not only in Strada, Sport and Corsa modes, but also in Sabbia and Terra modes, highlighting the dynamic qualities of the super SUV and even going beyond the asphalt. Depending on the selected driving mode, the vehicle's air spring adjusts the ground clearance, ranging from 15 mm in the Corsa to 75 mm when the lifting system is activated. The parameters that adjust the steering, drivability and sound of the twin-turbo V8 engine are also variable, which is reflected in the "personality" of the Urus SE. Particular attention was paid to the calibration of the air suspension system to highlight each driving mode. For Strada, the development effort has increased the already high level of comfort for the Urus S. Sport mode injects more fun into driving, enhancing the characteristics of the new gearbox to facilitate starting and continuing to drift. In Corsa mode, which is designed for track driving, the Urus SE shows its full dynamic potential. This is thanks in part to the suspension ECU/electronics, which control the chassis movements (pitch, yaw, roll and pumping), making the vehicle extremely stable and responsive between the curbs of the race road and in difficult and low-grip situations thanks to the anti-roll bar managed by the 48v electronic system. Neve, Sabbia, and Terra modes are all optimized to maximize consistency of wheel travel and ground forces for optimal traction on any surface.
