According to IGN, it can now be revealed that Arkane Austin is working on DLC and new content updates for Redfall that won't be released "until recently". New content includes the long-awaited Hero Pass for Redfall players, as well as the addition of an offline mode.
According to IGN, Redfall's Hero Pass is scheduled to add two new characters for Halloween this year — a year and a half after the game's release — while the offline mode was scheduled to be released sometime this month until Microsoft's decision to shut down the studio put an end to those plans.
Last year, Harvey Smith, director of Redfall, said that Arkane Austin was actively removing the very unpopular "play online" requirement in single-player games, but with the offline mode now being removed, it means that if Microsoft shuts down the servers one day, Redfall will no longer be playable if it shuts down its servers one day.
