In October 2020, when he collapsed, a crane had to be used to lift him out of his mother's third-floor apartment, a thrilling rescue operation carried out by more than 30 firefighters and engineers.
Horton died in the hospital on April 27, just a week before his 34th birthday. He once confessed: "What scares me the most is the attention of the outside world. I've seen the movie "The Whale" and for me it's almost like a horror movie. I told my mom not to watch it, then turned off the TV and started crying. I cried and watched the movie and fell asleep. I know I'm the fattest guy in the UK and that's how people see me. ”
