Recently, the Women's Federation of Kongjiang Road Street, Yangpu District Erlian Primary School, and Yangpu District Haiya Family Education Service Center jointly launched a "Children's Love Inheritance - DIY Spring Peach Blossom Cake" activity in Yangpu District Erlian Primary School to strengthen the implementation of the "school, home, community" trinity "concentric circle" home-school linkage project.
At the event, the gourmet mother first introduced the traditional customs of spring to the children, led the children to recite the beautiful poems of spring, and introduced the traditional dim sum made in spring - peach blossom cake.
Named for its resemblance to peach blossoms, the peach blossom crisp is usually made with puff pastry, with a beautiful appearance and crispy taste, often decorated with red bean filling and osmanthus flowers, symbolizing the vitality of spring and the beauty of life. After learning about the knowledge of pastry, the gourmet mother led the children to learn and make it while demonstrating the skills of making pastry on the spot. Children learn to knead and knead, experience the process of opening and filling, and skillfully pinch out the petal shape with their little hands.

The finished peach blossom crisps were neatly arranged in the oven, and the children watched the changes of the peach blossom crisps under the high temperature baking, and made beautiful packaging gift boxes. After all the peach blossom crisps were baked and packed, the children, under the leadership of the teacher, brought their own handmade peach blossom cakes to the Kongjiang Community Health Service Center to thank the angels in white for their contributions to the health of the community family.
