Zhao Wanru, female, from Tai'an, Shandong, teaches at the School of Art of Taishan University. Graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Qufu Normal University with a bachelor's degree in Chinese painting, and then studied in the graduate course of the Chinese Academy of Arts, under the tutelage of Long Rui and Chen Shouxiang, focusing on Chinese landscape painting, freehand flowers and birds.

Zhao Wanru is a member of the Chinese Women Painters Association, a member of the Shandong Artists Association, a member of the Central Academy of Painting and Calligraphy of the Jiusan Society, a member of the Shandong Art Committee of the Jiusan Society, and a director of the Taishan School of Painting Research Association. He is the consultant of the Zhao Song Southern Foreign Sect Zhengsi Research Association, and the director of the Fujian Provincial Surname Source Research Association. Now he is mainly engaged in the sketching and creation of landscape painting.

For more than 20 years, Zhao Wanru has led students to sketch in the sketching base every year, covering Jincheng, Shanxi, Jinan, Linyi, Mount Tai in Shandong, Meihua Mountain in Nanjing and other places, accumulating a large number of sketching works.

In July 2006, the book "Case Study of Contemporary Painters: Zhao Wanru Landscape Sketch" was published by Beijing Arts and Crafts Publishing House, and distributed to Xinhua bookstores across the country. In June 2021, the book "Qinxi Huanmo: Zhao Wanru's Sketches" was published by Tianjin People's Fine Arts Publishing House, and the works included in the book are Zhao Wanru's landscape sketches, sketching experiences, and theoretical articles in the past five years. He has published more than 10 papers and dozens of works in professional journals such as "Writer" and "Grand View of Fine Arts", and has made special introductions in "Art Vertical", "Fortune Haixi" and "Chinese Character Calligraphy". Jia Dejiang, editor-in-chief of Beijing Arts and Crafts Publishing House, Liu Gang, former dean of the Academy of Fine Arts of Taishan University, and Zhang Chunhua, an art critic, have all written art criticism articles for Zhao Wanru, fully affirming and highly praising Zhao Wanru's Chinese painting works.

He has presided over two key projects of the Provincial Department of Culture: "The Sketch of Mount Tai and the Inheritance and Development of Traditional Chinese Landscape Painting" and "The Sketch and Research of Ancient Cypress of Mount Tai", both of which have been identified and completed. He presided over the school-level excellent course "Chinese Landscape Painting", and presided over the horizontal topic "Research on the Cultural Relics and Sketches of the Northern Song Dynasty in Dai Temple".

In 2016, he was awarded the title of Most Promising New Artist by the China Collectors Association.
