With the lengthening of the comic series and the improvement of the animation ratings, the animation team saw the necessity and feasibility of continuing to do the "Conan" animation, and also understood that it was too time-consuming and laborious for the animation team to create a set of main story by itself, so it braked sharply and turned sharply, returned to the plot track of the original work on the verge of overturning, began to maintain and ensure the fluency and authority of the original "(generalized) main line", and found the current "seeking common ground while reserving differences" adaptation mode in more than twenty years of exploration and running-in.

1. Make changes to details and lines

How to scientifically arrange the information of each episode has become the focus of the animation adaptation. Many times, in order to fill the length of an episode, the supervisor will add some shots or lines.

If the lines are still relatively obvious, the chaotic shots are not so easy to find. For example, the last episode of the Crimson episode.

The addition of such plot passages is the same as the previous point - as a whole plot, it should be subject to the approval of the original work or the original author.
3. Adjust the order
The third change is to adjust the order of the episodes when adapting.
Because the "main line" in the early original works is not obvious, more of a reasoning unit drama, the adjustment of the order has little impact on the smoothness of the plot, such order adjustment is extremely common in the early days, and it can even be said that the adaptation without adjusting the order is quite rare.
With the dilution and diffusion of the "main line" information, more and more original comics in the later period appeared to be unable to adjust the plot details of the adaptation order, and the adaptation of the animation team became closer and closer to the order of the original work.
Of course, there are conventions and exceptions, and even in recent years, there have been some adaptations that have adjusted the order, and one of the classic cases is TV853-854 (split version 908-909 episodes) "Memories of Sakura Class".
As we all know, the anime team has a principle that is in line with the original manga, that is, when a certain episode is broadcast, the "time" in this episode should be synchronized with the "real real time" (according to this principle, the dates specified in manga such as Matsuda's death day are also changed due to the different dates of the manga serial and the date of the anime broadcast).
However, by the time Memories of sakura class was supposed to be adapted in order, the cherry blossom season in the real world had already passed. So, the animation team decided – wait! Skip this series and adapt the next one first!
In March 2017, "Memories of Sakura Class", which had been postponed for ten months, finally aired during the cherry blossom season as desired.

Also in order to keep up with real time, TV885-886 (split version 940-941) "Solving the Mystery at Poirot Coffee Shop" was greatly advanced in the adaptation schedule.
But this time the adjustment is not so perfect. Since this series was moved directly to the first appearance of the two rum suspects Wakasa Ryumi and Wakita Kane, the series in the original series is already after Wakasa Ryumi's second appearance - the details of the first appearance of Wakasa Kaneori mentioned in the original work were deleted in the anime.

Because "The Moon, The Secret of the Stars and the Sun" was postponed for a year before being adapted into an animation, directly from the appearance of Gray Plains to the appearance of Gray Plains, the animation team of that year made a very brave patch: it is not that Gray Plains has not yet appeared, it is that Gray Plains do not want to come.
