On May 1, Ye Guiping's freight train slowly drove out of Zhengzhou North Railway Station and headed for the terminal Xuzhou Freight Station.
Ye Guiping comes from the freight workshop of Zhengzhou Locomotive Depot of China Railway Zhengzhou Bureau Group Co., Ltd., and he has insisted on such a working state for more than 30 years. In the roar of the locomotive, in the driver's cab, which is only a few square meters, he guards the safe operation of every train.
As an experienced "veteran driver", he has always regarded operation according to standards and driving safety as his personal work goal and value pursuit.
It is precisely because of his excellent business and excellent style that he is always the first person to take charge when facing key tasks such as traction and overrun expansion trains. In order to ensure the quality of the completion of key tasks, he used his off-duty time to familiarize himself with the situation of the traction section in advance, repeatedly rehearsed the driving scene, and thought about the response measures for various emergencies in advance to ensure that every key task was foolproof.
For decades, Ye Guiping has won wide praise and respect from his colleagues with his work performance of "zero accidents", "zero violations" and "zero bad reactions". For more than 30 years, Ye Guiping has driven 1396302 kilometers safely, which is equivalent to about 35 laps around the earth, which is not only a string of numbers, but also a manifestation of his conscientiousness and devotion to duty.
"Master Ye, what should I do if the locomotive encounters a yellow light?" In the train driver's study room, I often hear people asking for some driving knowledge. At this time, Ye Guiping always took the trouble to explain to them in detail. For new employees or employees with poor business, he took the initiative to ask for a shift with him, and did a good job of passing on the help without reservation. One of the things he often said when he took his apprentices was, "Don't look at the light handle we hold in our hands, but the responsibility we take on is very heavy." ”
As a "safety car" in the hearts of colleagues, this is not only because he has been driving safely for more than 30 years, but also because he has devoted himself to studying the driving business, and summarized the essentials of locomotive operation and special situation response measures into a book for other colleagues to learn from and improve everyone's overall safety ability.
This year, Ye Guiping won the National May Day Labor Medal, which did not make him feel proud and complacent, but inspired greater enthusiasm for work. During the May Day period, Ye Guiping still drove the locomotive as usual to safely and smoothly transport all kinds of bulk materials to all parts of the country.
