Analysis of 1 Person in the Wilderness Daiko 2 Wilderness Daiko

Early life

Born in 1858, Dach van der Lin knew little about his biological father, who fought in the American Civil War in 1861 and was unfortunately killed in battle at the Battle of Gettysburg at Gettysburg. Dachy then lived with his mother. But Duchi did not get along well with his mother, and when Daqi was 15 years old, Duchi chose to leave the family and wander between himself.

Daqi regards freedom above all else and dreams of living independently. In order to realize his ideals, Daqi began to resort to crime. Dutch's early partner was Colm O'Driscolt. Soon after, Dutch met Hosea Matthews and formally formed his own gang, which at this time was mainly west Elizabeth. Arthur Morgan, John Marston, Abigail Roberts, Bill Williamson, and others also joined during this period. Later, Dutch's gang clashed with Colm's gang, and Dutch's lover Annabelle was killed by Colm during the conflict, and Dutch decided to disagree with Colm.

At this time, Daqi can also be regarded as a rogue with his own idealism, and he firmly believes that his gang must be able to do something in society. He compares himself to a rogue like Robin Khan, robbing upstarts and handing over money to those who really need them. Dutch also considered himself a symbol of the Wild West, a supporter of humanitarianism, opposed to government control, and supported individual freedom. The charisma of Dachi's personal image greatly promotes his companions' perception of his so-called "barbaric trotum", and the team commits numerous crimes such as robbery and murder for Dachi's ideals in the name of Dachi.

However, beginning in 1899, as social transformation and law enforcement intervened, the situation became increasingly difficult and the gangs eventually fell apart.

Red Dead Redemption 2

In 1899, Duch's Van der Lynn gang robbed a cruise ship in Blackwater, but the plan deviated, the gang was forced to abandon their money and evacuate to the east, and during the robbery, Dudge shot an innocent girl due to a momentary excitement, which led some members to criticize this move. During his escape, Dudge developed a series of plans to avoid law enforcement while making money along the way. The original plan was to rob oil magnate Leviticus Cornwall of trains transporting bonds. Although the plan was successfully implemented, Dudge did not realize that this act would gradually push the gang to destruction, which was no longer the era of cowboy freedom in the West, and the Van der Lind gang that continued to commit crimes would only attract more law enforcers and enemies. This kind of shooting for a place will only make you no longer have a place to stay.

After settling all the members, the gang made the plan to horseshoe high, but only a few days later, law enforcers from Blackwater and bounty hunters hired by Cornwall attacked the gang, and although they managed to break out, the gang had to shift positions.

This time the gang came to Raymond Point, and Dachi and Hosea went to the two local families to negotiate, pretending to reach a cooperation agreement to help one of them, but actually using their identity as an intermediary to wander between the two families, trying to take advantage of the contradictions between them. But Daqi obviously values his own ability too much, as a family that has been fighting in the local area for decades, how can it be secretly controlled by an outsider. After offending the two families, the Van der Lin gang had to shift positions again.

The gang moved to Chedibele near the big city of Saint-Denis, but this time the result was the same as before, Dachi and the others first hit the full set of Angelo Brontë, the head snake of San Denis, and then Dachi obstinately robbed the Lemoan National Bank despite the objections of Hosea and others, and the gang was ambushed by Agent Pinkerton and beaten and fled in a hurry. Hosea and the others died in the clash, and Dachi and Arthur spent a brief time in exile on Guama Island in the Caribbean Sea.

At this point, all of Daqi's life is basically caught in a dead cycle of making plans, implementing plans, failing plans, provoking new enemies, and fleeing gangs.

Repeated failures and Dachi's own obsession slowly destroyed the trust of many gang members in Dachi, and after Dachi returned from Guamma Island, the gang no longer had the fighting spirit it had before, and became dead.

At the end of the story, the entire gang finally falls apart, and while the gang is stationed in the Beaver Cave, Agent Pinkerton eventually finds the gang's hiding place due to the betrayal of the traitors. Coupled with the intensification of rifts within the gang, the Van der Linde Gang finally collapsed in this conflict. Arthur, Susan Grimshaw, and others died in the conflict. And Daqi also lost his goal, and even had no incentive to take away the stolen money accumulated over the years, Daqi once wanted to lead the gang to his ideal utopia, but after the gang was dissolved, he was lost, money has no meaning for Daqi at this time, maybe continue to be an extralegal, and fighting with the government is the driving force for him to live.

Red Dead Redemption 1

Soon after, Dachi established his own new gang in the West Elizabeth region, the Dachi Gang. Continue to do evil deeds of rebellion against the government and looting everywhere. Only this time, Daqi's behavior was completely out of his own instincts, and as a result, nothing mattered, because at this time Daqi also understood that he could not shake society.

In 1911, John was coerced by the government to arrest Dutch, and John and Dutch finally confronted each other on a cliff, and Duckie lamented that his time had ended, gave up a fight, jumped off the cliff and died, and the life of a tyrant ended.

Character analysis

The world That Dachy desires is a world in which hunting and gathering are integrated, and he opposes science and technology and government control of the world. Throughout his life, Dach fought the government, trying to recruit for his gang and take control of the town in one fell swoop, because he believed that the city was the government and the foothold of science.

Dutch wants people to return to the Old West, which he believes promotes survival, discipline and helps people use their skills and courage to overcome difficulties. But Dutch also wanted people to remain civilized, not the barbarians they used to look like. When the government vigorously promoted clothing and technology, Dutch did not veto it outright.

Mr. Dutch is a ruthless killer who kills innocent people and government workers, and Mr. Dutch sees this as an effective means of combating government corruption. Despite the brutality of his methods, Duach, as an educated criminal, unlike most criminals, committed crimes in his early days more out of idealism than greed.

Ironically, despite Dutch's opposition to government ideals, Dutch himself has a slight fascist and authoritarian approach to gang management. He constantly preaches "loyalty" and "faith" to his companions, which gives Duchi complete control over the gang's actions, while others do not give any opinions or criticisms from such a leader, in fact, when anyone questions Dachi's behavior, Dachi will regard this behavior as betrayal. Daqi's total behavior is also no different from that of the government, Andaki's behavior of asking members to hand over 50% of their income to the gang is the government's tax, and such a high proportion of surrender can basically be regarded as an act of exploitation. (Because of this system, combined with Morgan's money withdrawal ending, the gang is not short of money at all, and Dutch is a pure anti-government, and he is declaring so-called freedom to people in this way.)

As John puts it, Dutch's so-called idealism has long since become an excuse for his indiscriminate killing and robbery, and over time, Dutch has become increasingly violent and unstable.

Beginning in 1899, the once idealistic hooligan had become a delusional and fanatical killer, and he finally began to realize that the crimes he had committed had not changed society at all. At the end of the story, Daqi's purpose is not for money, as Daqi said before his death, he dreams of changing society, but he cannot shake the wave of social change at all, and society is no longer the survival of a sophist like him, in fact, from the beginning to the end, Daqi's every plan is frustrated, and his every action has attracted more law enforcers, and in this society where the judicial system is gradually improving, there is no room for his so-called free man.
