Lectric, an electric bike brand from the United States, recently released an electric bike XPress that can be easily commuted and shopping with goods, and can be purchased for as long as 1,000 dollars!
Drawing on its experience in launching a number of affordable foldable, casual cargo, and electric tricycles in the past, Lect upgraded the XPress to a 27.5-inch wheel diameter with 2.1-inch wide puncture-proof city tires to make the ride more stable and comfortable.
According to the data, the new XPress will be available in two frame styles, high-span and low-span, and there are also two different power versions, one with a 500-watt, 55-Nm in-wheel motor (1092 watts peak) and a 499.22 watt-hour downtube battery, and a 750-watt, 85 Nm (1310 watts peak) with a 672-watt battery, so consumers can choose different models according to their needs.
In the most power-efficient mode, the vehicle can travel up to 72.5 kilometers on a single charge, while the more powerful version has a range of 96.5 kilometers. Regardless of the version, the assisted top speed can reach 45 km/h.
One of the highlights of XPress is the hybrid secondary sensing system, which combines "industry-leading, high-performance torque sensors" with Lectric's PWR+ technology. PWR+ technology is built on a traditional foot-pedal frequency sensor system, which can output different motor power through the system controller according to five different assist modes.
Other eye-catching features include a thumb throttle on the grip, a 7-speed transmission, a customisable shock-absorbing fork with 80mm of travel, disc brakes with a 180mm rotor, an IP65 waterproof color LCD instrument cluster in the center of the handlebar, a USB charging port, and integrated front and rear lighting.
The XPress can carry up to 149.6 kg, including the rider's optional rear shelf load. It is also very convenient for parking, equipped with a heavy-duty parking frame. In terms of safety, XPress is certified to the UL 2849 standard, covering battery cells, battery packs, electric motors and chargers.
XPress is now available for pre-order and is expected to ship in June. The XPress 500 model is priced at US$999 (about 7,239 yuan) and the XPress 750 model is priced at US$1,299 (about 9,413 yuan), but an additional battery will be given to extend the range to 120 kilometers.
