During the special period, there was a founding major general who was censored. His treatment made his old subordinates envious. Because he lived in a small western-style building, he was censored. The old subordinate asked him what was going on. The founding major general smiled mysteriously and replied: There is someone above me.

Who is this founding major general? Is there really anyone above him?

His name is Wu Xiaomin, a native of Taigu, Shanxi, and he is a general with glasses and a polite manner. At first, he served in the Shanxi Youth Anti-Enemy Decisive Column, and later was incorporated into the Taiyue Military Region led by Chen Geng. Wu Xiaomin looks very weak, but he is very brave when he fights.

Chen Geng likes him very much. From the Taiyue Military Region to the later Fourth Corps, Wu Xiaomin has been fighting with Chen Geng, and he also followed Chen Geng into Vietnam to help Ho Chi Minh fight the French devils. The 3rd Corps entered Korea to fight, and Wu Xiaomin served as an adviser in the 35th Division of the 12th Army.

The commander of the 35th Division was named Li Desheng. Wu Xiaomin and Li Desheng are both founding major generals of the Second Field Army, both belong to the Shaozhuang faction, and he is 5 years younger than Li Desheng. They had fought together many times, and now they had crossed the Yalu River together to fight for the country.

On the Korean battlefield, Wu Xiaomin and Li Desheng were hit by heavy bombs by the US military in a command post, and they both survived great hardships, and they were fatal friendships.

After returning to China, Wu Xiaomin served as the commander of the 37th Division. He received the rank of major general later than Li Desheng, and was promoted to major general in 1964, but like Li Desheng, he was also the founding major general. In the 60s, Li Desheng served as the commander of the 12th Army, and Wu Xiaomin was the commander of the 13th Army.

They are all in charge of an ace army. Li Desheng was quickly promoted, and he entered Beijing from the Nanjing Military Region to serve as director of the General Political Department, and also served as commander of the Beijing Military Region. And Wu Xiaomin is still the commander of the army and belongs to the Kunming Military Region.

Wu Xiaomin was censored, but he enjoyed good treatment because there was someone above him, and this person was Li Desheng. Li Desheng is a kind person, although he is in a high position, he is very humane, and he has not forgotten his old comrades-in-arms.

He understood Wu Xiaomin's personality and performance in the war, tried his best to help him speak, and did not allow the case-handling personnel to extort confessions from him. Once, Li Desheng deliberately pulled Wu Xiaomin to sit beside him during dinner, and talked meaningfully about the past events on the Korean battlefield.

Li Desheng introduced to the case-handling that Wu Xiaomin and I were comrades-in-arms and fellow countrymen.

Comrade-in-arms, Wu Xiaomin is recognized. As for fellow villagers, as mentioned earlier, Wu Xiaomin is from Taigu, Shanxi, and Li Desheng is from Xinxian County, Henan, several hundred kilometers apart. Wu Xiaomin is an honest man, he pulled Li Desheng aside and asked:

You are a big official, and you don't make a draft to brag, how did we become fellow countrymen? They turned my file upside down, and you still dare to stare at me and talk nonsense, how can I explain this fellow problem in the future?

Li Desheng said with a wry smile, I am the son-in-law of Guishanxi, and I fought in Shanxi for so many years during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation. You just have to rest in peace, just with this little unnecessary thing, they want to rectify people? Rest assured, as long as I am in this position, I will not let you die unjustly.

Li Desheng's wife Cao Yunlian is a native of Yushe, Shanxi, and Li Desheng is the son-in-law of Shanxi, and he is also half of Shanxi. He deliberately climbed his fellow countrymen with Wu Xiaomin, but in fact, he had good intentions and was to protect him.

With Li Desheng's protection, Wu Xiaomin suffered a lot less. The task force investigated his history, and except for his military exploits, he was not punished, nor was he captured. Although Wu Xiaomin's background was not very good, he was born in a merchant family and had no worries about food and clothing since he was a child, but he left home at the age of 16 to participate in the revolution.

Investigating politics, Wu Xiaomin has been reused, and he can pass every movement. Checking the economy, Wu Xiaomin never took advantage of the public, and he was not allowed to set up a banquet to welcome and send him off wherever he went, and he always had a bowl of hand-rolled noodles. If he could not find any problems, he was put in charge of the defense industry of the military region in the capacity of army commander.

On one occasion when I went to Beijing for a meeting, all the deputy commanders from other military regions came, but the Kunming Military Region came with a commander, Wu Xiaomin. Premier Zhou noticed this embarrassing detail and said, "They all say that Yunnan is 18 monsters, but I think it is 19 monsters, and let a field army commander engage in the national defense industry, do you think it's strange?

With Premier Zhou's personal involvement, Wu Xiaomin was promoted to deputy commander of the Kunming Military Region in 1973. Unfortunately, 4 years later, Wu Xiaomin died of a sudden myocardial infarction at the age of 56.
