Wang Fuping, who won the first prize in the high school group from Jingping School (Secondary Division), shared his views on cyber security, saying that at the national level, it is necessary to build a cyber power, which is the trend of the times, and we must protect and develop information technology to become a leader in the game of cyber powers. At the personal level, cyber security is to let us be vigilant about the information on the Internet, carefully screen the "good ones and follow them", improve our own network literacy, and protect our privacy and property security. In addition, he hopes that everyone can learn to think independently in the face of online public opinion, establish a critical consciousness, and refuse to follow the crowd.

Fight a people's war without gunpowder

Jingping School (Secondary Section) Wang Fuping

A war without gunpowder has begun.

Looking at the "monument" of the 21st century, looking up at the high-rise buildings piled up by capital, immersed in the temporary paralysis brought by massive information. Entering the information age, how to bravely undertake the mission and task, build a network power, and make a guarantee for the Haiyan River of the country has become the primary thinking of contemporary youth.

In my opinion, there are "three passes" in cybersecurity, which are related to politics, culture, and economy.

You see, Internet infiltration harms the very foundation of politics. In the battlefield of ideological struggle, it is not uncommon for foreign forces to infiltrate and interfere in the internal affairs of other countries. In the past, some educated youths in society were turned into destabilizing elements by the Internet, and later American agents infiltrated the Chinese Internet. Those with ulterior motives add fuel to the fire, distort facts, catalyze and amplify social contradictions, and affect the country's long-term peace and stability. It is urgent to establish a network anti-infiltration and anti-sabotage mechanism.

You don't see, harmful information erodes the lifeblood of culture. Harmful information erodes the physical and mental health of young people, and excellent traditional culture and mainstream values have become "dross". As Professor Wang Defeng said, "The most important thing in this era is to find a spiritual home to live in. "Cyberspace is the common spiritual home of hundreds of millions of people, and only by adhering to the excellent traditional Chinese culture, establishing good values, and gaining a sense of belonging and identity to the nation can we have the motivation to contribute to society.

You see, cyberattacks threaten the backbone of the economy. As we all know, the United States is "the world's largest surveillance empire," and its eavesdropping and sabotage of other countries' networks and facilities endangers national economic security and public interests. But fortunately, China has made effective technical countermeasures, which has caused the US sabotage activities to encounter a "Waterloo". This incident also shows the importance of "building a cyber power", making a strong counterattack against bullying by other countries, and protecting the security of national property and citizens' privacy.

How should this battle be fought? The answer lies with the people.

President Xi Jinping pointed out: "Cyber security is for the people, and cyber security depends on the people. "As of June 2023, there are 1.079 billion Internet users in mainland China, and China's cybersecurity has become a major issue. From the release of the Strategy for International Cooperation in Cyberspace to the signing of the G20 Digital Economy Development and Cooperation Initiative at the G20 Summit in Hangzhou, the Party and the government have taken cyber security to heart, and the masses will naturally take cyber security to heart. Adhere to the overall concept of national security, comprehensively promote the rule of law in cyberspace, and jointly build a civilized and harmonious cyberspace.

As a Macao student, I have been carefully cared for and nurtured by the school, and through the school's IT courses, I have improved my network literacy and become a trendsetter in the development of the information age. Remembering my responsibilities and watching the red flags flutter in the wind every Monday, my heart became more and more determined that my future is the future of my country. We should not forget the original intention of "loving the country and Macao", grasp the opportunity of the times of "great changes unseen in a century", and run unremittingly in the face of the red sun, so as to be worthy of our family and country.

The development of cyber security in mainland China is in the ascendant, let us work together to build cyber security barriers with a pure heart, draw a grand plan for a cyber power, protect the tranquility of thousands of lights, and carry forward the soul of the Chinese nation!
