Although there are a lot of complaints on the Internet now, objectively speaking, if it is not under the banner of the sequel of "Three Heroes and Five Righteousness", "White Eyebrows" is a good storytelling work, even if there are some problems that are difficult to justify, it is still flawed. However, there is really a link in the book that makes people unhappy, that is, the promotions of Xu Liang and Bai Yunrui. The third-rank guard, the second-rank general hung the rank of general, and finally promoted to the first-rank general......
As for why the two of them still insist on resigning from the court and resigning from the court, they foolishly think that this problem can be explained from two perspectives.
The water in the court is too deep, and the king is like a tiger

Sometimes wise, sometimes mediocre, I feel that I have no opinions, and I am lame when I am fooled by the bad guys, especially if there is a traitorous concubine around me, then the loyal ministers will inevitably be unlucky, but in the end, they will definitely be wronged, and evil will be rewarded.
The first time Renzong was toyed with by the villains was "True and False Xu Liang". Many years ago, Wang Xingzu, who had a lot of connections with Shangsanmen, didn't know which tendon was wrong, and he actually helped Dongfang Liang, the "King of the Volcanogye", who tried to launch a rebellion, and put down the ring, but was killed by the young and vigorous Xu Liang. In the period of "White Eyebrows", Wang Xingzu's son "Purple-faced King Kong" Wang Shunyicheng went down the mountain and learned that his father and his uncle who later tried to avenge his father died at the hands of Xu Liang, and vowed to take revenge. Because Xu Liang is famous all over the world, Wang Shun is afraid that he is not an opponent and gave his life in vain, so he "plastic surgery" into the same appearance as Xu Liang, entered the palace to assassinate, and deliberately left cruel words after killing the palace concubines and disturbing the emperor, and then drifted away. Although he did not leave a name, the two white eyebrows and a thick Shanxi accent almost made it clear that he was Xu Liang.
Such a superficial discordant plan, but Renzong failed to see the details, and immediately ordered Xu Liang to be imprisoned, poor Xu Liang had just finished the campaign to conquer the Yama Wangzhai, and was arrested by the errand before he could catch his breath, which made all the heroes of Pingkou inexplicable.
In fact, Wang Shun's planting of blame was not only unsuccessful, but also quite a bit of a desire to cover up, as long as he used his brain a little, he could see through the clues. Let's not talk about the details, there are at least three vulnerabilities that can be seen through just by a dozen eyes.
First of all, the assassination is a secret event, and the fear is to let the other party know his identity. Wang Shun seems to be covered with a face and covered tightly, but in fact, if he really wants to be unknown, how can he not cover the most obvious white eyebrows and speak with a Shanxi accent, which is almost like reporting his ID number directly.
Second, what was the purpose of Wang Shun's entry into the palace? Judging from the framework of force in the book, if Wang Shun, Xu Liang, or other people in the rivers and lakes had the intention to assassinate Wang and kill him, how could they give Renzong the opportunity to settle accounts after the autumn?
Finally, and most superficially, how could Xu Liang and the old and young heroes of Kaifeng Mansion go to Hadeszhai thousands of miles away to conquer the rebels? Even if the emperor thinks that the people of Kaifeng Mansion and Xu Liang are the same as a raccoon dog and deceive the saint together, then Xu Liang can go away, how can he obediently be arrested when he returns to Beijing? Moreover, if he spends so much effort to toss around in order to enter the palace and scare and scare the emperor, this will inevitably be too much to gain and lose.
It can only be said that Shan Lao's design of the plot here is too simple, if Renzong is really such a dog's head, it is estimated that he will have to be smashed by the eight kings with a golden mace within a few days of ascending to the throne.
Of course, whether it is reasonable or not, the book is single, and how he designed it and how we listen to it can only be interpreted according to this line of thought. Because everything is too obvious, so Xu Liang was released soon after, but during this period, Wang Shun took advantage of Xu Liang's absence, and attacked Kaifeng Mansion at night, resulting in the death of Lu Fang, Han Zhang, and Xu Qing.
Of course, people are not sages, who can do nothing, Xu Liangruo patted his ass and left, it really seems that the pattern is too small, so he chose to give the emperor, and he should also give himself a chance, after all, Kaifeng Mansion is the place where the dream begins, it carries his youth and dreams, not to mention that there are his relatives and friends here, so even if Xu Liangliang is dissatisfied in his heart, he also suppresses it temporarily. Unexpectedly, before the end of the book, Renzong was mediocre again, and the plane was even bigger.
Here's the thing, the Tianzhu State who conspired to subvert the Great Song Dynasty sent the national teacher Guyue Monk to marry the princess as an envoy (the princess is fake, she is the apprentice grandson of the Guyue monk, known as "Jiuhua Niang", she has married nine times, water-based Yanghua, but her appearance is beautiful and charming). Although Bai Yunrui was wronged later, and Renzong also made Xu Liang and Bai Yunrui, who had the greatest merit, knighted and canonized them as first-class generals after the big break of Xiao Penglai, how could the cold hearts of the two be covered by high-ranking officials and concubines? The successive appearances of the ministers and the adulterous concubines made the brothers who were not very politically aware understand that the court may not be suitable for them, and if they dealt with Concubine Mei today, will there be Concubine Ju and Concubine Lian tomorrow?
Therefore, Xu Liang and Bai Yunrui resolutely chose to resign, and since then they have been far away from the rivers and lakes, with their skills and connections, isn't life on the rivers and lakes much more comfortable than that of the court?
An alternative analysis that combines reality and plot
Just now we analyzed the plot content in the book, and now the angle is to combine reality and plot, which is why I complained at the beginning that Shan Lao designed a general for the two.
The so-called "art comes from life and is higher than life", but it should not be separated from life, because in the past it was not as convenient to find information as it is now, so many authors of classical literary works are limited by the times, and there are often bizarre travel phenomena in novels, such as the official positions that appeared prematurely in "Shuo Yue" - Chief Soldier and Jinyiwei, and Zhang Ziyang in "Journey to the West...... , and so on, I don't know how many, even if it's a famous book.
It is not surprising that these situations occurred during the Ming and Qing dynasties, and although they are somewhat funny, they are understandable. But "White Eyebrows" is a modern storytelling, although the eighties and nineties are not as developed as now, but if you have the heart, it is not difficult to check these common-sense questions, not to mention that it is said that Shan Lao is still a high-achieving student who graduated from a good university majoring in history, so at least there should not be too many such problems.
The real situation is that the third-rank military attache was already at the level of a feudal official in the Great Song Dynasty; the second-rank general was at the same level as the highest military attache, Taiwei, while the general soldier was a position in the Ming Dynasty; and the most important thing was that this first-rank general had surpassed everything. You must know that even the privy envoys who often serve as military attaches are only from the first rank in the Great Song Dynasty, which means that in fact, the Great Song Dynasty does not have the so-called first-rank generals at all.
Some people may say, how can you still pick bones in this egg for a storytelling. I think that although it is a joke and has little to do with history, since it has a historical background, at least it should be as close as possible to the general environment. And what I mean by combining the plot with reality is roughly what is expressed in the following imitation dialogue.
