In view of the characteristics of the "May Day" festival, the Guanshan Lake Brigade of the Guiyang Fire and Rescue Detachment mobilized volunteers and propagandists to organize and carry out various forms of fire safety publicity activities, so that citizens can raise awareness and spend the festival safely.
The Guanshanhu Brigade mobilized fire volunteers to post fire safety tips in conspicuous places in stores along the street in the jurisdiction, and carried "fire answer sheets" with them to invite the passing masses to participate in the Q&A activities.
The fire volunteers also distributed publicity materials printed with fire prevention and escape knowledge to the passers-by, reminding the majority of merchants to pay attention to the safety of fire and electricity in their daily work and life, and to discover and eliminate all kinds of fire hazards around them in time.
In view of the high incidence of fires in summer and the weak self-defense and self-rescue ability of the elderly and children, volunteers went to the home to remind the elderly to avoid placing combustible and flammable materials, and develop the habit of safe use of fire, electricity and gas.
Volunteers also went to enterprises in the jurisdiction to organize the trainees to conduct evacuation and escape drills and fire extinguishing drills. Organize and carry out fire knowledge training, and the propagandists combined with relevant typical fire cases to explain in detail how to prevent fires, initial fire fighting methods, how to escape and self-rescue after a fire and other fire safety knowledge.
