Pei Erjie, whose name is Hannan, studied in 1976 and became a disciple of Zhecheng. He is currently a professional calligrapher of Beijing Jinlongtang, vice chairman of Shenyang Staff Calligraphers Association, and one of the world's top 100 Chinese artists. In 1984, his works won the Outstanding Works Award of Liaoning Province Calligraphy and the First National Young and Middle-aged Calligraphy Exhibition. In 2001, he organized and planned the Beijing and Shenyang Calligraphy Biennales. In 2006, Ji Xianlin, a master of Chinese culture, collected the calligraphy album of Hannan's "Qingtang Lotus Rhyme", and wrote an inscription for the complete collection of calligraphy of Hannan's book "Guwen Guan Zhi", which was recorded in detail in the book "Ji Xianlin in his later years".
Mr. Yang Renkai, a well-known connoisseur, inscribed the long scroll of calligraphy of the Tao Te Ching in Hannan as a wonderful product in the book, and Mr. Zhang Xuguang commented on the Hannan Xiaokai: simple, elegant, tasteful, not tacky, and the culmination of the writing techniques of the Wei and Jin dynasties and the Tang Dynasty.
