The 2024 Tang You Cup Badminton Tournament will be held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province from April 27 to May 5, Hong Kong time. This is the world's highest-level men's and women's badminton team competition held every two years, and it is also the highest-level badminton tournament before the Paris Olympics. The competition is divided into two stages: the group stage and the knockout stage, with a total of 16 teams from each male and female participating in the group stage of these two major cup competitions.

The last two days of the group stage will determine the winner of each group. After the group stage is all over, the draw ceremony for the knockout stage will be held. According to the draw rules released by the tournament organizing committee, the BWF will re-rank the top teams in the group according to the world ranking on April 30, with the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds entering the top half and the bottom half respectively, the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds will also be drawn into the upper and lower halves respectively, and the other four group runners-up teams will be drawn to determine the top eight opponents. It should be noted that the opponents in the same group in the group stage adopt the principle of avoidance and will not meet again in the round of 8.
