The statements in this article are based on reliable sources of information and are detailed at the end of the article
From the peak of life to the fall into the dark abyss.
From the Chinese Academy of Sciences professor to a blind man.
Yang Jia, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, experienced this scene.
The first half of Yang Jia's life can be said to be a winner in life.
At the age of 15, he was admitted to 211 Zhengzhou University, graduated at the age of 19 and became a teacher at Zhengzhou University, at the age of 21, he was admitted to the master's degree of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and at the age of 24, he became the youngest teacher of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Until she was 29 years old, because of illness, she was completely blind, and her husband abandoned her and flew away.
Even if you are blind, you will not lose the direction of your life.
She faced the world after blindness strongly, taught Braille by herself, was admitted to the world's famous universities, and achieved a great reversal in her life, which is our CPPCC member and Professor of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Ms. Yang Jia.
Sudden life changes
When she was a teacher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Yang Jia gave lectures every day, and spent most of her time preparing for classes after class to improve the quality of teaching.
On this day, she was preparing for class and sorting out the textbooks, when she suddenly felt that the words on the book were a little floating, and the two lines of words were repeated together.
She thought that she had stayed up late yesterday to prepare for class, and she must have tired eyes.
Immediately looked out the window to relax, and after a short rest, she found that she still couldn't see clearly.
She decided to put aside her work today, and after the lecture, she would go home and have a good rest.
The next day, she went to work as usual, but when she saw the books, she was still familiar with the situation she had yesterday. Then it didn't get better, so she communicated with her husband and went to the hospital to have her eyes checked.
After coming to the tertiary hospital, the doctor looked at the diagnosis certificate and told her that the problem was very serious.
It is macular degeneration, and there is no treatment at present, so we can only wait for when it will worsen and become completely blind.
This sentence seems to nail Yang Jia in place, she has never encountered such a big change in the first half of her life. I don't know for a moment how to be good.
Born in a scholarly family
Yang Jia's parents are both university teachers, and she grew up in Hunan Province since she was a child, and she is a typical post-60s generation.
Parents have been teaching and educating people all their lives, and they have also taught Yang Jia well, and the books in her home have filled a whole wall since she was a child. For Yang Jia, she is also allowed to choose what she likes.
Yang Jia is also very sensible, she has been smart since she was a child, and she often takes the top three in her class.
When she was 15 years old, when the country had just resumed the college entrance examination, Yang Jia's talent and intelligence had always been seen by teachers.
I suggest that she try it, and then talk about it if she can pass the test, it's always nothing to try.
Yang Jia went to the examination room of the college entrance examination in this way.
She did well in the exam, and when the results came down, her parents, teachers and classmates were taken aback, but she didn't expect to be admitted to Zhengzhou University.
Yang Jia walked into the life of the university, in the university, it may be that Yang Jia is relatively young and a little difficult to understand.
But she didn't give up, she always did the most active in the class, handed in the first place in the homework, and was a frequent visitor to the teacher's office. All the teachers had the best impression of her.
When he graduated at the age of 19, he was directly recommended by his teacher to stay in school and continue teaching because of his excellent performance in college. Yang Jia also taught by word and deed, continuing the work of her parents.
But Yang Jia is not an enterprising person, becoming a teacher at Zhengzhou University did not make her feel like she had fallen into a honey pot, and she just taught casually in the second half of her life.
She is still constantly improving her cultivation and constantly studying for exams. Three years later, while on the job, he was also admitted to the graduate school of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
In the Chinese Academy of Sciences, she is still the most diligent student, the last to stay in the library, and always the first to get up to study.
Eventually, with her outstanding grades and resume, she served in the Chinese Academy of Sciences and continued her teaching career.
And during this time, she met her husband, went to the palace of marriage, and soon gave birth to a child.
No difficulty can be defeated
Due to the problem of his eyes, his husband's attitude has changed dramatically, and his work has stagnated, and the problems that he usually solves have become difficult after he has eye problems.
Yang Jiadun felt powerless, and after waking up every day, she looked at the blurred world, as if she was waiting for God to sentence her, and she would be blind forever.
When Yang Jia was still in the trap of her eyes, her husband sued her for divorce and took away the custody of her daughter.
Yang Jia can't help it, after all, as a blind person, even her own living is a problem, and she really can't take care of her daughter's life.
But the divorce did not hit Yang Jia, as an independent and outstanding woman, she will not be tripped up by marriage.
She regained her strength and began to get used to life as a blind person, and she was taught by her parents how to eat, how to dress, and how to walk, just like when she was a child.
She falls countless times a day at home, she pours water on her body every time she drinks, and she always pounds it on her eyes with a straw.
Many inconspicuous little things in life, she is readjusting to what she should do as a blind person.
But no matter how difficult it was, she didn't give up, and after knocking countless black, purple and blue on her body, she was finally able to walk and live at home independently.
After overcoming her living habits, she relied on the radio every day to receive news from the outside world and learn about the outside world.
That's when she decided to start reading again, reading Braille books.
From the very beginning of recognizing and touching Braille, familiarize yourself with stroke by stroke, letter by letter. Her father helped her buy books about Braille, and she taught herself at home every day.
With perseverance, she learned Braille.
Continue your education for the benefit of the world
After Yang Jia taught herself Braille, she received a reinstatement from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
In order not to be late for class, she got up at 5 a.m. and went out at 6 a.m., so that she could stand on the podium on time when class was at 8 o'clock.
She couldn't watch the students' homework be corrected, so she took pictures and scanned them one by one, read them out on the computer, and often corrected the homework until midnight.
In this way, she persevered for several years, and still got up at 5 a.m. and went to class at 8 a.m. every day.
In 2000, she was admitted to Harvard University for further study with her own efforts.
Harvard teachers read more than 500 pages at a time.
And Yang Jia can only rely on taking pictures, the computer reads out, the reading is too slow, she always hears half of the page and can't finish half of it, so she can only speed up the speed of speech to play.
By the time she graduated, she was able to listen to 400 words per minute, and she had an unconventional voice hearing. She showed her strength at Harvard, and received China's first blind MPA degree certificate when she graduated.
After returning to China after graduation, she realized that China's welfare and system for people with disabilities were not sound enough. He has repeatedly fought on behalf of people with disabilities
Legal rights and interests of persons with disabilities.
She used her own advantages to set up a training for people with disabilities to use computers, advocating that people with disabilities should learn knowledge, learn English, and learn to use computers. Make every effort to improve the value of persons with disabilities in society.
