Proximity analysis

Click "Analysis Tools\Proximity Analysis\Proximity Analysis" in the toolbox to invoke the proximity analysis tool, as shown in the following figure.

Invoke the proximity analysis tool

In the proximity analysis dialog box that appears, the input feature is a cell, the neighboring feature is a subway station, and the search radius is not filled in (not filling in means that all features are searched, if a certain value is filled, only the features within that value range will be searched), as shown in the following figure.

Proximity settings

After clicking Run, you can open the cell attribute table, and you can see that there are two more fields, NEAR_FID and NEAR_DIST, where the NEAR_FID represents the FID of the nearest subway station, and the NEAR_DIST represents the distance between the cell and the subway station, as shown in the figure below.

New fields

Join the field

Right-click on the cell layer and select "Connections and Associations\Add Connections", as shown in the following figure.

Select Add Connection

In the Add Connection dialog box that appears, the input table is cell, the input connection field is NEAR_FID, the connection table is the subway station, and the connection table field is FID, as shown in the following figure.

Click OK to complete the connection, and after the connection, open the property table to see the nearest subway station corresponding to the community, as shown in the figure below.
