A traditional village named after Zhang Sanfeng - Zhangqiao Village, Liuzhi Town
Zhangqiao Village is located in the east of Huazhou District, bordering Shaohua Mountain, with 8 villager groups and a population of 1,290 people. It was named after Zhang Sanfeng's construction of a stone bridge - Zhang Bridge.
It is said that at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, the world was in turmoil, and the young Zhang Sanfeng entered the customs from western Liaoning and came to Erhua to learn the Tao. He first went up to Taihua Mountain, worshiped Chen Tuan Lao Zu (ascending to immortal), and then went to Shaohua Mountain, following the Taoist ancestor Huayang Zhenren. Zhang Sanfeng into the small Shikiyu, under the Qianya Ridge at 40 miles, but see a hole strange and secluded, the spring water is clear and murmuring, the surrounding grass and trees are luxuriant, the cliff wall is like a knife and an axe to chop, then live in the ancient cave, concentrate on reading the scriptures and enlightening the Tao, alchemy and storing gas, practice boxing and dancing swords, get out of the hole after obtaining the Tao, leave the ruins of the immortal cave today.
One day, Zhang Sanfeng came to the half-section of the mountain in the eastern valley of Qianshan, and saw that there was Shaohua Middle Peak on the right, and there was Baiya Mountain Wall on the left, and then leaned against Panlongling, and half of the mountain recessed in it, and the front was near Baiya Lake (called Yishan Lake after the great earthquake in the Ming Dynasty). In the recess of the mountain, the Biyun Temple was built and the Tao was opened. He realized the essence of Sun Biyun's Taoism, and the road of sword and fist was complete, so he gathered to visit his apprentice. When Ming Taizu heard this, he summoned him to the palace as an official, but he didn't go, and was given "clothes and fruits". Ming Chengzu admired and called, Sanfeng was still not satisfied, was given the title of "Xuyuanzi", the edict "to mention Wudang Mountain", he left the view, went to Wudang Mountain to preside, and created the Wudang Mountain martial arts school.
Zhang Sanfeng did a lot of good deeds for the people when he was in Biyun Temple. The Baiya Lake in front of the mountain is nearly ten miles in radius, and the villagers on both sides of the strait have many inconveniences in cultivating the fields, so they mobilized their disciples to go down the mountain to make a fate, and used the donation to build a stone bridge, which communicated the cross-strait exchanges. People are grateful for Zhang Sanfeng's kindness, call the bridge Zhangqiao, and call the half-section of the mountain where he built the meditation and practice the exercises, and call it Zhangjiashan. After that, some people in the east of the bridge opened shops to sell tea, dotted pedestrians, and gradually gathered more people, forming today's Zhangqiao Village.
Zhangqiao Village has outstanding people, and there are many natural history and cultural landscapes: there are the ruins of the Huazhou earthquake half-cut mountain, the ruins of Baiya Lake, one of the eight scenic spots of Huazhou, which is famous in ancient and modern times, "the Lingyun of moving mountains"; there are the folk legends of "Mountain Collapse Golden Douwang", Zhang Sanfeng holding cypress and stone hugging cypress, and also about the real body of the Taoist temple of Yuquan Cave in the Qing Dynasty that was discovered for the first time in China. In recent years, Zhangqiao Village has taken the construction of beautiful villages as an opportunity, adhered to the close combination of beautiful rural construction and improvement of people's livelihood, industrial development and farmers' income increase, grasped the adjustment of industrial structure, invested in the construction of tourism and leisure areas, and the whole village has taken on a new look.
Zhangqiao Village has been successively named as a national democratic rule of law demonstration village, a provincial traditional village, a rural tourism demonstration village, an ecological livable demonstration village, and a provincial health village, and in December 2019, it passed the acceptance of the national AAA tourist attraction and was selected into the second batch of national forest villages.
In the next step, Zhangqiao Village will unswervingly take the rural revitalization strategy as the guide and rely on the Zhangqiao Cultural Park to make the unique resources such as the village's humanities and history, natural scenery, and natural food become a magic weapon for the villagers to increase their income and get rich, so that the people's lives will be better and better.
