However, as the shrimp net slowly rose, the lively and robust crayfish jumped into the cage, and the farmer Liu Linying's face couldn't stop smiling. "The price of crayfish in these two days is about 20 yuan to 30 yuan a catty, and it can be sold up to 70 yuan a catty during the Chinese New Year, with an average annual yield of about 600 to 700 catties. Liu Linying, a crayfish farmer, said with a smile.
Liu Linying speaks fluent Leshan dialect, but he is an authentic Shandong, and after marrying his wife, he came to his wife's hometown Leshan to develop. In the past, Liu Linying and his wife were engaged in the construction industry, and when they heard that Yuankou Village was suitable for crayfish farming, he went around to investigate and study. In 2022, Liu Linying contracted more than 60 acres of land to start the road of crayfish farming. "We went to Hubei to inspect and study, and then went to Yuankou Village to contract dozens of acres of land, want to try how the effect is, after a year of operation, the benefits are not bad. Liu Linying said.
In addition to traditional farming, Liu Linying also tried to adopt a new model of green ecological farming of shrimp and rice. During the planting period, lobsters can weed and loosen the soil, digest the natural fertilizers formed by field pests and other natural fertilizers, and can supplement field nutrients. This new model can not only cultivate high-quality ecological crayfish, but also harvest shrimp and rice with good quality and good taste, so as to achieve a win-win situation for grain and fishery.
After two years of hard exploration and careful practice, Liu Linying is full of confidence in the road of crayfish farming, and he hopes to continue to expand the breeding area, drive more villagers to rely on industry to get rich, and contribute to rural revitalization.
