"Now we are instructing our workers to take care of the greenery. Because this green forest grows taller every once in a while, one is to affect the appearance, and the other is to affect the passage of vehicles and pedestrians on the side of the road, so it needs to be taken care of in time. Zhang Xiaoting said to reporters while taking care of it.
Her name is Zhang Xiaoting, and she became a staff member of the Municipal Greening Unit 2 of the Greenheart Management Office in 2022, and is usually mainly responsible for the greening and maintenance of the park, so she checks the maintenance of workers every day. At 11 o'clock in the morning, she came to the rose wall of the Lushan Wetland, and while patrolling the mountain, she talked about her first encounter with Greenheart Park. "My relationship with Greenheart Park should be in 2021. Because I have heard of the good name of Green Heart Park before, it is famous all over the country. Anyway, I just wanted to take a look, and then I rode my bicycle around, and it was the time when the peach blossoms were blooming, and the peach blossoms were shockingly beautiful. I myself am also a landscape professional, and it would be wonderful if I could join in the greening and maintenance of this park and use my own strengths to create something better for it. ”
She said that fate allowed her to join the big family of the Greenheart Management Office as she wished. Because of her love, she can't let up for a moment. At 1 o'clock at noon, she often uses the rest time to check the Internet to learn about the maintenance of different plants, and when she encounters problems, she will communicate with experienced old gardeners, she said, only by constantly maintaining a positive attitude, continuous learning, and personally participating in the conservation work, can she improve her professional ability. At 3 o'clock in the afternoon, Zhang Xiaoting went to check the maintenance of the lawn.
"Now it's our workers doing a maintenance on our lawn. Why mow the lawn? First of all, the first is to control the height of its growth, because the lawn will not look good when it is taller. The second is that after we mow it, it stimulates the grass under the base layer to sprout new shoots and increase the density of the lawn. In addition, on weekends, everyone likes to come to our park to play, and many children like to sit and play on our lawn, which is also to create a more comfortable environment for them to have more fun in our park. Zhang Xiaoting said.
In addition to the maintenance of greenery, the second unit where she works is also responsible for the maintenance of park facilities. At 5 o'clock in the afternoon, Zhang Xiaoting rushed to the next point non-stop.
"Now our workers are mainly removing some of the rotten bamboo poles in our bamboo curved garden. After all, this has been built for several years, and the wind and sun have caused the bamboo to rot, which has some safety hazards for pedestrians. So we're going to tear it down now. Later, we considered that we might plant some climbing plants around it to make it have a beautifying effect. Zhang Xiaoting said.
At the end of the day, Zhang Xiaoting ran back and forth in Greenheart Park, walking 10,000 steps every day, and it was common for her to be exposed to the sun and rain, but Zhang Xiaoting said that she had never regretted it.
"Because I majored in landscape architecture at university. After graduation, many students chose to work in design institutes and design companies. Their working environment and treatment are relatively much better than mine. But I still prefer my current job, because my daily job is to come to our park, see the flowers I raise, see how the trees grow, and then often discuss with our workers how to make our plants grow better, and get in touch with nature every day, this sense of accomplishment cannot be measured in money. In particular, the flowers you maintain are growing very well, and they are liked by the citizens and friends, and everyone comes to you to take pictures and check in, and you will really feel full of happiness at that time. Zhang Xiaoting said.
