The mainland not only lifted the ban on agricultural and fishery products such as Wendan pomelo, but also opened up tourism from Fujian to Matsu, and opened direct sea and air flights from 30 cities to Taiwan in one go.
These are good news worth celebrating for the island, you know, as long as 40,000 people can travel to Matsu a year, it will directly increase Taiwan's income by NT$500 million, and the opening of Wendanyu will also promote the recovery of Hualien's economy after the earthquake.
Therefore, after the mainland announced these measures to benefit Taiwan, the Kuomintang and the people on the island called on the DPP to respond to the mainland. At the news conference, Fu Lai-hing also called on Lai Qingde to take action to improve cross-strait relations as soon as possible, and Zhao Shaokang also stressed that the KMT has opened the door for Lai Qingde, and now the DPP should hurry up to catch the ball, make a positive response, and cultivate goodwill between the two sides of the strait.
People in the island's business and tourism circles also called on the DPP authorities to stop ignoring the mainland's goodwill. However, such a rare opportunity is already in front of us, and the DPP is still manipulating politics. Hua Jingqun, Taiwan's "vice minister of the interior," not only rejected the materials donated to Hualien by the Red Cross Society of the mainland, but the DPP "legislature" caucus also held a special press conference to hype up the fact that Fu Laiqing's visit to the mainland was a "trip to sell Taiwan."
Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council also claimed that there are "additional conditions" attached to the mainland's opening up to Matsu, which "does not conform to the principle of reciprocal opening-up" and is not the norm for sightseeing and tourism. Wang Guocai, a responsible person of Taiwan's "transportation department," even openly shouted that the mainland's opening up this time is too small, and this goodwill is too far from what they expected, and that it should be opened to tourism in Kinmen.
Because before the epidemic, the "mini three links" had about 300,000 people a year, and 90% of them were to Kinmen for sightseeing. Obviously, it is enough to see from these reactions of the DPP that they do not want to take corresponding actions to respond to the mainland at all, but continue to slander Fu Laiqing's achievements this time, and they have to put forward more demands inch by inch.

It has been learned that the mainland announced that from 1 to 9 May, it will carry out military activities in the waters of the four-point line in the East China Sea, and that unrelated ships will be prohibited from sailing into these waters at a specified time.
Obviously, it is no accident that the mainland has drawn a no-sail zone in the East China Sea for nine consecutive days. In the past two days, the mainland coast guard has again begun to carry out law enforcement patrols in the waters of Xiajin, and the mainland coast guard ship 14603 encountered Taiwan's "Coast Guard" PP-10083 ship in the course of law enforcement, and shouted at it in Mandarin and Hokkien.
The mainland coast guard personnel said that the actions of your ship have seriously threatened the navigation safety of our ship, and you should immediately regulate the navigation, otherwise your ship will bear all the consequences. It can be seen from this that even after the successive visits to the mainland by high-level Kuomintang officials, cross-strait relations have rebounded to a certain extent, the mainland's attitude on some outstanding issues has not changed.
