Therefore, the two concepts of cyst and tumor are called sores and carbuncles in traditional Chinese medicine.
Even in Western medicine, there are cases where the names of cysts and tumors are confused, for example, hemangiomas are named after "tumor", and hemangiomas are called tumors, but they are actually cysts.
This is because the contents of the hemangioma sac are pure blood, not solid components. Hemangiomas only have the characteristics of cysts, not tumors, so the name of hemangioma can easily be mistaken for a tumor.
In fact, as long as you understand the composition of cysts and tumors, it is not difficult to distinguish between the two.
The cyst must have a "sac", otherwise how can it wrap up that bubble of liquid? And the tumor is a cluster of fleshy vegetations, so the tumor does not have an obvious "sac", or the tumor does not need a capsule to wrap it. It can also be known that cysts and tumors are two different syndromes, and cysts naturally do not belong to tumors.
