Since the introduction of Yuanhu trial planting from Zhejiang in 1972, after 50 years of planting and related experimental demonstrations, Chenggu County has formed a complete set of cultivation technology system. Among them, the "rice + Yuanhu" water-drought rotation planting mode has improved product quality and achieved a double harvest of Yuanhu rice. At present, the planting area and output of Yuanhu in Chenggu County account for 65% and 70% of the country's total, respectively.
