On April 28, the fourth member congress and the first council meeting of the fourth session of Yijun County Charity and Poverty Alleviation Association were held in the county guest house. Guo Ping'an, former vice chairman of the Tongchuan CPPCC and president of the Municipal Charity and Poverty Alleviation Association, Bian Jiang, secretary general, Zheng Shunmin, vice chairman of the county CPPCC, and other leaders were invited to attend the meeting. Zhang Xiaojun, director of the county civil affairs bureau and leader of the association's leading group, Chen Xiaoyi, deputy director of the organization department of the county party committee and deputy leader of the association's leading group, and more than 70 people attended the event.
The conference collectively studied General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on the development of philanthropy, and conveyed and learned the spirit of the meeting of the Shaanxi Provincial Charity High-quality Development Promotion Conference. The meeting deliberated and approved the work report and financial report of the third council of the County Charity and Poverty Alleviation Association. The commendation and reward the "Advanced Unit for Supporting Charity Work", "Advanced Village (Community) for Creating Charity Happy Home", and "Advanced Collectives and Advanced Individuals for Charity Volunteer Service". The newly revised Articles of Association of Yijun County Charity and Poverty Alleviation Association were reviewed and approved. Fang Xiuqin and Chen Huamin were elected as the chairman and vice president of the fourth council of Yijun County Charity and Poverty Alleviation Association. Liu Yali was elected as the chairman of the board of supervisors of the fourth council of Yijun County Charity and Poverty Alleviation Association. Yang Haomin and Tang Xiaobiao were hired as honorary presidents of the Fourth Council of Yijun County Charity and Poverty Alleviation Association.
Guo Ping'an said in his speech that under the strong leadership of the county party committee and the county government, and under the supervision and guidance of the county civil affairs bureau, the three councils of Yijun County Charity and Poverty Alleviation Association have conscientiously fulfilled their charitable purposes, and have achieved remarkable results in helping the elderly, orphans, the disabled, education, poverty alleviation, and poverty alleviation, which has effectively promoted the high-quality development of Yijun charity and promoted social harmony and stability. It is hoped that the new council will conscientiously study and implement the newly revised "Charity Law of the People's Republic of China", implement the spirit of the meeting of the Shaanxi Provincial Charity High-quality Development Promotion Association, and do a good job in the arrangement, deployment and implementation of various charitable work, so that Yijun's charity will reach a new level.
Zheng Shunmin said that in the past six years, under the leadership of the county party committee and the county government, with the support of the provincial and municipal charity and poverty alleviation associations and the Fengyi Collaboration Liaison Group, and with the extensive participation of caring enterprises and caring people from all walks of life in the county, the county's charity has shown a vigorous development trend. From 2018 to 2023, 9.682 million yuan was raised, and 4.196 million yuan worth of charity was raised. The charity care activities have benefited a large number of people in need, which not only has given a certain supplement to the people's livelihood security work in our county, but also contributed to the county's victory in the battle of poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.
Fang Xiuqin, on behalf of the newly elected Fourth Council of the County Charity and Poverty Alleviation Association, said that in the next step, the Yijun County Charity and Poverty Alleviation Association will take the opportunity to publicize and implement the newly revised "Charity Law of the People's Republic of China" and the spirit of the Shaanxi Provincial Charity High-quality Development Promotion Association to extensively excavate charitable resources, raise funds and good things, and lay a solid economic foundation for carrying out various charitable assistance, funding and caring activities. With the creation of a charitable and happy home as the starting point, we actively carry out the activities of caring for the "old and the young". We will continue to intensively cultivate charity projects, conscientiously fulfill the purpose of charity, strive to promote the high-quality development of charity in Yijun County, and contribute to the consolidation and expansion of poverty alleviation achievements and rural revitalization.
