At the event, the organizer presented the "Seed Science Popularization Handbook" to the student representatives of Luwan No. 1 Central Primary School in Huangpu District to encourage the children to explore the mystery of the plant kingdom, and presented "Plant Seeds and Handbook Books" to the outstanding docents of the Red Horn Little Instructor of Luwan No. 1 Center in Huangpu District, so that the "red seeds" and "green seeds" could blossom and bear fruit in the hearts of the children.

Everyone explored carefully, observed with their eyes, listened with their ears, smelled the fresh smell of leaves, looked at the lines of flowers and plants, listened attentively to the explanation of the teachers of the botanical garden, and carefully recorded the shape and structure of the plants. The rare plants in the two museums aroused the children's strong curiosity, and they sent out "100,000 whys" and rushed around the teacher to ask about the habits, characteristics, and growth process of the plants.
A caring child found that in the subalpine pavilion, a small area was planted with more than a dozen kinds of camellia trees, Shanghai Juvenile and Children's Publishing House teacher Li Rong told him: "There are about 280 species of wild camellia plants in the world, and there are 238 species in the mainland", and encouraged the children to record the names of different varieties of camellia one by one, go home to inquire about the information, and then carefully study their differences, the children wrote in the handbook: Zizhonglou camellia, mandarin duck phoenix crown camellia, black magic camellia, midnight magic camellia, pine nut scale camellia, Early peach Yunnan camellia, Donglin Yunnan camellia...... The harvest is very rewarding.
The huge bottle-shaped Maitreya Isokapok in the mountain pavilion quickly caught the attention of children; the ironclad begonia with thorny leaves aroused heated discussions; the wide variety of primrose moss, their strange names, aroused the interest of children who love to ask questions; most of the fruits of the myrtle family can be eaten, and the fruits produced by the oleander family are poisonous; the pitcher plant is the MVP of the audience, and everyone is full of curiosity about why and how it eats insects...... In the plant kingdom, students observe, experience, and think, and break into a wonderful new world.
On the way back, the students who had just finished their studies turned into little botanists and had an academic collision with Li Rong, a teacher from Shanghai Juvenile and Children's Publishing House. Teacher Li invited all the students to name the most impressive plants today, and the little botanists were eager to try, and their inner curiosity gushed out.
Student Zhang: Alder is a fern of the same period as the dinosaurs, why did the dinosaurs go extinct, but the alder survived?
Teacher Li: Alder only grows one centimeter a year, but in Chishui, Guizhou, alder grows in patches and spreads into forests, as a fern but as tall as a big tree, mainly because Guizhou has no special landform of three feet flat, the mountains are continuous, the transportation is inconvenient, and the development of human beings is relatively slow, so it has become a survivor and has survived in the primeval forest for hundreds of millions of years.
Mr. Li: Other plants rely on water to survive, why do pitcher plants rely on insects to obtain nutrients?
Mr. Wang: It may be that the soil in which Nepenthes lives is too poor, and the insects are eaten to supplement nutrition.
