On the afternoon of April 23, Kecheng Capital Planning Branch and Zhejiang South Zhejiang Comprehensive Engineering Survey and Mapping Institute went to Juhua Middle School to jointly carry out the 55th World Earth Day science popularization knowledge into the campus activity.
As one of the series of activities of "4.22 World Earth Day", this event revolves around the theme of "cherishing the earth, harmonious coexistence between man and nature". Experts from Zhejiang South Zhejiang Comprehensive Engineering Survey and Mapping Institute and 8090 lecturers of Kecheng Capital Planning Branch gave a vivid explanation of the origin and significance of World Earth Day, the changes of the earth's climate and ecology over hundreds of millions of years, the current problems faced by the earth's environment and common geological disasters, and told the story behind it and the knowledge of earth's ecological protection to more than 50 students present.
At the event, the students listened to a "down-to-earth" science class, felt the biodiversity of the earth up close, and experienced the vastness and richness of geological ecology. Wei Tongling, a student from Class 2 of 2023 at Juhua Middle School, said, "Through today's popular science learning, I have a more intuitive understanding of the evolution history of the earth that can be inferred through the stratigraphic profiles of different landforms such as mountains, glaciers, and volcanoes, which has also stimulated my interest in geological knowledge, and I hope to have the opportunity to participate in such activities in the future." ”
