Recently, the District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau and the District Inspection and Testing Center carried out surprise inspections on farmers' markets and restaurants, severely cracked down on measurement violations and regulations, created an honest and reliable consumption environment, and ensured that the people's "vegetable basket" was accurately measured.
The inspection focused on merchants and restaurants dealing in agricultural and sideline products such as aquatic products, vegetables, and fruits, where the daily consumption of the masses is concentrated. Law enforcement officers used standard weights to inspect the electronic pricing scales used by merchants to see if there were any illegal acts of using substandard measuring instruments and whether there were illegal acts of "short catties and less two" to deceive consumers, and inspected whether the "fair scales" in public areas were qualified.
During the inspection, law enforcement officers also publicized the "Metrology Law of the People's Republic of China" and other laws and regulations to the operators, guided the operators to consciously perform the main responsibility of measurement, effectively strengthen the sense of self-discipline, operate in good faith in accordance with laws and regulations, and put an end to illegal acts.
In the next step, the District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau will further increase the publicity of measurement laws and regulations, strengthen the supervision and management of market measurement, maintain the order of market measurement, crack down on measurement cheating, lack of pounds and pounds, and illegal behaviors that harm consumers, and create a fair and assured consumption environment for the jurisdiction.
