The number of new parking spaces to be added is announced!

Recently, the city is organizing and carrying out six special actions to improve the urban parking function, in order to continue to increase the number of parking spaces, improve the effectiveness of the convenient parking action, combined with the annual construction goals, the Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development took the lead in carrying out the "special action on parking space construction", with the cooperation of the Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning, the Municipal Construction Investment Group and the county and district governments.

The "Special Action for the Construction of Parking Spaces" mainly implements three tasks. The first is to strictly implement the construction standards. According to the standards for the construction of new residential quarters and public buildings, the urban area and Suixi County plan to add 15,440 parking spaces in 2024. The second is to expand parking spaces in combination with the renovation of old communities. The governments of the three districts plan to add 2,110 new parking spaces in 2024 through reasonable planning, new construction, reconstruction and expansion in combination with the renovation of old residential areas. The third is to use idle land to renovate and build public parking spaces. In 2024, the governments of Suixi County, the three district governments and the Municipal Construction Investment Group plan to add 4,450 new public parking spaces by means of idle land, corner plots, new construction land and land vacated by demolition and relocation, as well as three-dimensional expansion and transformation of plane parking lots.

Up to now, the city has added 10,568 urban parking spaces, including 2,550 public parking spaces. The next step will be to adhere to the principle of territorial responsibility and departmental linkage, strengthen the sense of responsibility, implement the division of responsibilities, expand the capacity of new parking spaces through a variety of ways, and alleviate the parking problems of citizens.
