It is necessary to improve the "three lines of defense" for rainwater monitoring and forecasting composed of meteorological satellites, precipitation radars, rainfall gauge stations, and hydrological stations, strengthen the application of new technologies and equipment, optimize and improve the hydrological model of production and confluence, and the hydrodynamic model of flood evolution, so as to further extend the flood prediction period and improve the accuracy of flood forecasting.
