On the morning of April 26, on the occasion of the 24th World Intellectual Property Day, a symposium on "Copyright Protection and Operation in the Context of Deep Media Integration" was held in Guangzhou. Guests from the press and publishing industry, copyright service agencies, and copyright social organizations gathered together to share and exchange views on topics such as the challenges and responses to copyright protection in the digital era, and the opportunities and trends of copyright operation, with a view to promoting Guangdong's press and publication industry to create new momentum and new advantages for high-quality development.

She introduced that the conventional methods of intellectual property operation such as rights transfer, rights licensing, rights pledge, rights securitization, and rights insurance can be applied to copyright, among which licensing is the most conventional way of copyright operation. Wang Jianping also said that publishing houses need to form a joint force with government departments, industry associations, consumers, social media, e-commerce platforms and other aspects of society to raise public awareness of copyright, jointly combat piracy, and maintain the healthy order of the publication market.
