The reporter learned from the Space Application Engineering and Technology Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences that the mirror platform for scientific experiments of China's space station was completed a few days ago and entered the trial operation stage.
CCTV reporter Shuai Junquan: When I came to the mirror platform laboratory, I felt like I was in the space station, and the 14 scientific experiment cabinets currently set up by China's space station have a 1:1 year-on-year configuration here, and they are currently in trial operation, which is like a mirror image of the scientific experiment facilities of China's space station.
Wang Lu, Senior Engineer, Space Application Engineering and Technology Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences: From the mirror image, it is a 1:1 correspondence with the load in the sky and the ground, also known as a parallel operation system. At present, we have completed the main construction of the mirror platform.
As an important ground scientific experiment infrastructure of the National Space Laboratory, the mirror platform has three main functions. First of all, the scientific payloads and experimental samples carried by the Shenzhou and Tianzhou spacecraft can be tested here before they go up, and astronauts can also conduct operational training for scientific experiments here; second, if the scientific experiments carried out on the space station fail, they can also be re-debugged here; and furthermore, the experimental data of the scientific experiments on the space station and the mirror platform can also be compared and analyzed here.
Wang Lu, Senior Engineer of the Space Application Engineering and Technology Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences: It is expected that during the mission of the Shenzhou-18 crew, we will start official operation, and then we will be able to realize the synchronous experiment of heaven and earth, and we can carry out some research on the difference between heaven and earth.
