According to Thai media news, on April 24, Alaso, director of the Administration Department of the Ministry of the Interior of Thailand, Yin Sopo, Phuket Provincial Governor, and other officials, in accordance with the instructions of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs Anutin, led relevant department personnel and the investigation action team to search six warehouses and stores selling e-cigarettes, illegal cigarettes and alcohol in Phuket.
It is understood that the above six dens are located in places such as Ratsada, Talat Yai, Talat Nuea and Kathu. During the investigation, it was found that three of the registered partnerships were selling e-cigarettes, illegal cigarettes and alcohol under the guise of selling animal feed, and some of the dens were only 50 meters from the school, while others were located in downtown Phuket.
The search seized a large number of illegal e-cigarettes, cigarettes and liquor, piled up in a mountain with a total value of up to 400 million to 500 million baht. According to an official of the Department of Administration, the problem of smuggled goods intrusion in Thailand is very serious and has suffered huge losses, amounting to no less than 7 billion baht per year.
