In order to eliminate all kinds of potential safety hazards and prevent outdoor advertising safety accidents, on April 24, Panyu District Shiqiao Street organized the safety investigation and rectification of outdoor advertising facilities.
The focus of the remediation work is to carry out a comprehensive investigation of the outdoor advertising facilities on the main and secondary roads, commercial blocks, and densely populated areas such as Qinghe East Road, Tung Chung Road, Dabei Road, and Santang Road within the jurisdiction, and remove the advertising plaques with potential safety hazards, and repair and replace the old and damaged advertising facilities, so as to eliminate potential safety hazards in a timely manner and ensure the safety of the lives and property of the public.
In the operation, the law enforcement officers adhered to the principle of "safety first, prevention first", carried out a careful and meticulous inspection of each outdoor advertising facility, and promptly notified the relevant responsible persons for rectification of the advertising facilities found to have potential safety hazards. At the same time, law enforcement officers also actively promote safety knowledge to merchants, improve their safety awareness, and urge them to strengthen self-inspection and self-correction to ensure the safety and stability of outdoor advertising facilities during the flood season.
According to statistics, the rectification action removed 6 advertising plaques with potential safety hazards, and removed 12 small lightboxes related to electricity in violation of regulations.
