Chen Shaoqing, Professor, School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University: We have seen that many exhibits have achieved low carbon in the whole life cycle from raw materials to manufacturing to solid waste disposal, achieving a lower carbon footprint, and some products have even achieved net zero carbon emissions through carbon sink offsets. These products labeled as "green and low-carbon" are favored by many domestic and foreign buyers. Taking building materials as an example, the "environmentally friendly" materials that people were more familiar with before mainly referred to the products with low pollution and harmlessness to the human body, and now special attention is paid to the fact that these materials are also low consumption, low emission and climate friendly in the manufacturing process. Similarly, the low-carbon gift packaging is also very close to life, we Chinese talk about "courtesy is light and affectionate", enterprises through simplification, each show their skills, so that consumers "face does not reduce carbon footprint", but also save the cost of packaging. More and more green and low-carbon products are emerging, helping us step by step towards a low-carbon society and achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality.
