According to the whistleblower, Xiaomi has won the exclusive launch rights of the Snapdragon 8 Gen4, and the Xiaomi 15 series will be the first model of the chip. The tipster also added that after Xiaomi, OnePlus and iQOO will follow.

There are many models that will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 in the first batch, and in addition to the Xiaomi 15 series, the OnePlus 13 and iQOO 13 will also be used. The Samsung Galaxy S25 series will use the "for Galaxy" version with a higher clock speed, but it will only be available in some markets. First of all, all Galaxy S25 Ultras in the global market use the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 chip, as do the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ sold in the US and Chinese markets. The Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+, which are available in other markets, will be equipped with an Exynos 2500 processor, which will also be unveiled in October.

Qualcomm has confirmed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 will be released in October, and the chip will no longer use ARM's Cortex public core, but will use its self-developed Oryon core. According to other sources, the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 is manufactured using the 3nm process, which is more advanced than the 4nm process used by the Snapdragon 8 Gen3, and will have advantages in terms of performance and power consumption. The ultra-large core can reach a maximum frequency of 4.3GHz, much higher than the 3.3GHz of the Snapdragon 8 Gen3, and the single-core performance soars, with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra equipped with the high-frequency version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 running 2200 points, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen4's single-core score may reach 3500 points.
