On April 23, sponsored by the Social Work Department of the Nanjing Municipal Party Committee, the Propaganda Department of the Chongqing Yuzhong District Party Committee, the Yueyang Municipal Civilization Office, the Yichang Municipal Party Committee Civilization Office, the Shiyan Municipal Party Committee Civilization Office, and the Yangtze River Ecological and Environmental Protection Group, and undertaken by the Yichang Yiting District New Era Civilization Practice Center and the Yichang Three Gorges Financial Media Center, the Yangtze River Protection Civilization Practice Volunteer Service Project Exchange and Exhibition was held in the Yichang Changjiang River Protection Park. 13 civilized practice volunteer service projects from Chongqing, Nanjing, Wuhan, Yueyang, Shiyan, Jingzhou, Yichang and Yangtze River Ecological and Environmental Protection Group participated in the exhibition.
The 13 volunteer service teams participating in the exhibition focused on the initiative and jointly issued a strong voice of the times to be propagandists, practitioners and defenders of the Yangtze River protection. With the theme of "Practicing the Concept of Ecological Civilization and Guarding the East Flow of a River", volunteers from all over the Yangtze River fully demonstrated the fruitful results of volunteer service in the practice of protecting civilization of the Yangtze River through a combination of on-stage and off-stage melodrama interpretation, project speeches, flash mobs, and on-site interaction. Yuan Zhu, the project executive of the Nanjing Yangtze River Watchman Alliance, said that he had seen so many like-minded partners, strengthened his confidence in the cause we did, and then also clarified a direction of our future work, we have so many like-minded partners, and I hope that everyone can really work together upstream and downstream, and also provide a better future for the environment in which we live.
It is understood that the projects displayed in this event take into account both inside and outside the province, highlighting the characteristics of the whole basin, extensiveness, multi-category, and mass nature, covering the fields of ecological civilization preaching, comprehensive river basin management, species protection, water source protection, riverbank beach cleaning, tree planting and green protection, and garbage classification. At the same time, this event also built a platform for centralized display, exchange and mutual learning of outstanding volunteer service projects in the Yangtze River Basin, promoted the volunteer service team in the upper, middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River to resonate at the same frequency around the practice of protecting the civilization of the Yangtze River, improved the level of volunteer service, and gathered a strong joint force to practice the concept of ecological civilization and protect the clear water of the Yangtze River. Yuan Zhu, the project executive of the Nanjing Yangtze River Watchman Alliance, said that today is also the first time for us to go out of Jiangsu Province, and we can learn from Yichang as a sample, and we can link our upstream and downstream more, learn together, and discuss how to maintain such a clear and green face like Yichang from upstream to downstream.
After the project exchange and exhibition, the guests, volunteers and student representatives participated in the Yangtze River species protection action, and carried out the breeding and release of Chinese sturgeon on the spot. Yuan Zhu, the executor of the Nanjing Yangtze River Watchman Alliance, said that we have participated in our local release, but there is no Chinese sturgeon of this species, the first time to participate in this kind of release activity at such a close distance, the mood is still very excited, and then I also saw our fish return to the Yangtze River, now the environment of the Yangtze River has become very beautiful, it should be very happy to return to such an environment, and at the same time, we should also be inspired to protect our Yangtze River, for their living environment, including our own living environment work together, we will also be more to protect such a green mountains and clear waters, to provide a better living environment for the finless porpoise and for us humans.
The second generation of 10,000 Chinese sturgeons provided by the Chinese Sturgeon Research Institute of the Three Gorges Corporation of China will continue to replenish the species resources of the Yangtze River Chinese sturgeon. At the event, the staff fished the Chinese sturgeon fry from the fish tanker and moved them to the release pond, and then flowed into the Yangtze River. Volunteer Yi Yang said that the Chinese sturgeon has returned to nature and returned to one of its hometowns, and we must continue to protect the Yangtze River and protect our clear water, so we must continue to implement the concept and protect our clear water.
