On April 21, Samarkand City, Uzbekistan, held a cultural tourism promotion meeting in Hongguang Mountain, Midong District. At the meeting, the Xinjiang Tianjin Chamber of Commerce and the Samarkand Municipal Government signed a memorandum of cooperation to establish the China (Xinjiang)-Uzbekistan Samarkand Business and Travel Alliance, and the Samarkand Municipal Government set up the Sino-Uzbekistan Offshore Innovation Incubation Center (Base) in the International Trade Incubation Base of Midong District, Urumqi Area of the China (Xinjiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone and awarded the license. The two places will jointly coordinate and organize the two countries' commercial, trade and cultural tourism enterprises to join the alliance by strengthening people-to-people exchanges, and jointly promote the implementation of high-quality projects that benefit both sides.
The mayor of Samarkand, Uzbekistan, Fazliddin Umarov, said that Samarkand is a historic city in Central Asia with rich history and cultural heritage. China's Xinjiang and Uzbekistan live next to each other, and cooperation has significant geographical advantages. As a sister city of Urumqi, it is hoped that the two sides can develop all-round cooperation in the future, and at the same time, more entrepreneurs from Xinjiang, China are welcome to invest and develop.
At the meeting, the Samarkand Municipal Government set up the Xinjiang Tianjin Chamber of Commerce as the liaison office of Samarkand City (enterprises) in Xinjiang, Uzbekistan, and regularly organized various enterprises to visit Uzbekistan for business visits and continue to follow up on cooperation matters through the establishment of smooth and efficient communication channels.
Lin Qing, president of Xinjiang Tianjin Chamber of Commerce, introduced that around the tourism and cultural industry, Xinjiang Tianjin Chamber of Commerce has invested in the construction of "The Belt and Road" theme hotel, "Belt and Road" meeting room and other cultural and tourism complex projects in Hongguangshan Tourist Scenic Area, and invested in the construction of industrial parks in Uzbekistan, striving to build an industrial cluster integrating commerce, trade, cultural tourism and other elements. In the interconnection with Uzbekistan in various fields, the Xinjiang Tianjin Chamber of Commerce is committed to building a convenient and efficient cooperation and exchange platform between enterprises of the two countries.
Yang Shuguo, general manager of Xinjiang Xiyu International Travel Service, said: "With the implementation of the 30-day visa-free policy in Uzbekistan, there are more and more exchanges and interactions between China and Uzbekistan in cultural and tourism activities, and the content of tourist destinations and cultural tourism projects has also attracted more and more attention from the people of the two places, and the desire for cross-border tourism has become stronger." At present, travel agencies have launched 9-day and 11-day tours based on a number of direct flights, and through the development of tourism, the potential project cooperation of related industries will be further stimulated. ”
"The awarding of the Sino-Ukrainian Offshore Innovation Incubation Center (Base) has created an intermediate corridor for cooperation between Urumqi and Samarkand, and will form a corresponding domestic and foreign carrier incubation relationship with the Tianxin Maker Space International Trade Incubation Base on the Silk Road in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China, which is conducive to rapidly promoting the in-depth cooperation and development of enterprises in international finance, commerce and trade, talents, cultural tourism, medical care and education. Du Qihui, head of the international trade incubation base in Midong District, Urumqi Area, Xinjiang Pilot Free Trade Zone, said.
