At present, the construction of various projects of the desert photovoltaic base in the northern part of Midong District is in full swing, and more than 20,000 workers are fighting on the front line of construction.

In June 2023, Li Jianjun and several fellow villagers came to work in the desert photovoltaic base in the northern part of Midong District, "Towards the end of the year, there were one or two times when I didn't get paid in time, and I was a little anxious at that time." Li Jianjun said.
At a loss, under the reminder of his co-workers, Li Jianjun contacted Zhao Chun, deputy captain of the Labor and Social Security Supervision Brigade of the Midong District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. "We quickly contacted the employer and the general contractor and ordered them to verify the attendance of Li Jianjun and others. And the next day, through the special account for migrant workers' wages, all wages were paid to Li Jianjun and others. Zhao Chun said.
"The problem was solved quickly and well, so we stayed and worked until now, hoping to see the project completed and accepted on schedule. Li Jianjun said with a smile.
The Migrant Workers' Rights Protection and Complaint Station focuses on the implementation of the labor dispute investigation, mediation and supervision system, and effectively plays the role of service, guidance and supervision through long-term service, regular service, roving service, appointment service, etc., and does a good job in protecting the labor rights and interests of migrant workers such as the payment of wages in accordance with the law, so as to create a "one-stop" service mediation station.
"In order to improve the convenience and timeliness of rights protection services, mobile arbitration tribunals will be held at migrant workers' rights protection complaint stations and construction sites to provide mediation and arbitration services as soon as possible. In addition to the normalized coordination and handling of conflicts and disputes related to the payment of migrant workers' wages, the Midong District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau also posted a notice board on rights protection information at the construction site, including the competent departments of industry engineering construction, labor security supervision and complaints, labor dispute mediation and arbitration applications and other channels for the relief of migrant workers' rights and interests, and safeguarding the rights of migrant workers to know, supervise and express themselves in accordance with the law.
