Recently, it was reported that officers from the Immigration Department of Chonburi Province, Thailand, arrested a 34-year-old Uzbekistan woman Ms. Gumi, who was accused of staying in TEDA for 2 days and also suspected of participating in the crime of trafficking women to the country for prostitution.
According to sources, several members of the human trafficking ring in which the woman participated were arrested in Uzbekistan, after which the woman absconded to Thailand to avoid investigation. After Interpol issued an arrest warrant, the woman went to Pattaya to hide and overstayed, and was later arrested by Thailand immigration officers.
As for the handling of the woman's case, after the Thailand police record the case and transfer it to the Pattaya Police Station and make a judgment in the court, the investigators will hand the woman over to the immigration officer to be deported to her home country for punishment.
