On April 22, the People's Bank of China held a gold and silver commemorative coin issuance and donation ceremony in Chengdu to commemorate the development of Chinese banknotes over the past thousand years and demonstrate the unique charm of China's monetary culture.

There are 3 commemorative coins in this set, including 2 gold commemorative coins and 1 silver commemorative coin, all of which are legal tender of the People's Republic of China, with high collection value and commemorative significance. The design of the gold and silver commemorative coins issued this time is unique, among which the reverse design of the 150-gram rectangular gold commemorative coin shows the typical streets and alleys, commercial and trade activities and regional characteristics of Chengdu during the Northern Song Dynasty.

"Chengdu, as the place where the commemorative coin was issued, not only has a long history of monetary culture, but also is an important witness to the development of China's banknotes. Li Zeyun, deputy general manager of China Gold Coin Group Co., Ltd., said.

At the ceremony, China Gold Coin Group also donated a set of gold and silver commemorative coins numbered 1024 to the Jiaozi Financial Museum.
