No matter where he lived, he would get up at half past five every morning. Get dressed, untie your hands, wash your face, brush your teeth, then sit in the living room and smoke a cigarette before driving out at about half past six. The time to the factory must be around seven o'clock.

In Peng Chao's work schedule, there are no weekends or holidays. Colleagues go to work, he goes to work. Colleagues rest, he also goes to work. It has been 8 years since 2017, and almost all the time off he has taken every year has not exceeded 10 days. That is, 350 days a year, he is either at work or on his way to work for 350 days. Of course, the end of the day is variable, sometimes at 12 noon, sometimes 6 pm, but usually overtime until 10 pm.

His off-road vehicle had to fill up a tank of gas every week. The car's odometer is increased by nearly 15,000 kilometers per year.

From 2017 to 2020, he was a special brewer of Moutai Group, responsible for the technical guidance of production in the China area.

In 2020, after he became the chief winemaker of Moutai Group, he was responsible for the production technical guidance of the whole factory. Whether it is "special grade" or "chief", he is responsible for the three major tasks of wine making process guidance, deviation correction and inheritance.

Every day when he went to the factory, Peng Chao walked one workshop after another, and if he didn't finish today, he would continue tomorrow. After the 29 workshops were turned, they started from the beginning and continued to turn, and so on. He was busiest during the various rounds of roasting. When encountering the cellar period, the workshops are on holiday, and he also has to go to the workshop. Check whether the dregs are fermented normally, check whether the sealing mud is tight, and check whether the production tools are damaged. During the workshop holiday, the group will organize many production-related meetings, which he has to attend, and also make a report or concluding speech.

Peng Chao, who is 56 years old this year, has worked in Moutai for 39 years.

Before 2017, he was a winemaker, and before that, he was an ordinary winemaker, so his work was relatively simple. There is also a lot of vacation time to travel every year. But after 2017, traveling has become an unattainable dream for him. Last year, there was a "big cellar period" that only happened once in 3 years, and the workshop took the longest vacation - 15 days, Peng Chao did not get a chance to rest, and he still drove every day to inspect the workshops for 15 days. This year's Spring Festival holiday was 9 days, and Peng Chao only did not enter the factory on the first day of the Lunar New Year.

Responsible for guiding the company's liquor production, Peng Chao is well aware of the 8 processes, 59 process operations and key points of Moutai liquor. He takes "quality is the soul of life" and "brewing a high-quality life" as his original mission, and guides Moutai's liquor making work in an all-round way. As of 2023, during his six-year tenure, the average output of the Moutai Distillery team has reached 74.72 tons, and the average annual output of the team has reached 10.18 tons, which exceeds the company's requirements.

Peng Chao led the team to provide technical assistance to these branches and subsidiaries, which effectively improved the product quality and management level of the branches and subsidiaries.

Through master teaching, model worker lectures, craftsman lectures, teaching and mentoring, on-site teaching, etc., Peng Chao has carried out theoretical and practical training for employees in different positions such as new employees, ordinary employees, team backbones, and apprentices, and has trained more than 10,000 people. In 2021, Peng Chao Innovation Studio won the honorary title of "Guizhou Model Worker Craftsman Talent Innovation Studio", in 2022, Peng Chao won the title of "Moutai Outstanding Talent Award", and in 2022 and 2023, he was awarded the title of "Excellent Master and Apprentice" of Kweichow Moutai Co., Ltd. Eight of the 20 apprentices he brought with him have gone out of school.

On April 19, 2024, the 3rd Guyu Talent Day of Moutai was held as scheduled, and the provincial Peng Chao Skill Master Studio was officially unveiled.

As the leader of the provincial "Peng Chao Model Worker Innovation Studio", Peng Chao participated in and guided dozens of innovative projects such as "Improving Production Process Control Capabilities Based on Visualized Production Monitoring Platform", involving liquor production and koji production, covering the comparison of raw and auxiliary material characteristics, process exploration, equipment and facilities improvement, mechanism mechanism research, etc. From 2019 to 2021, the "Peng Chao Model Worker Innovation Studio" successfully applied for three patents: "Underground Pot Saturated Steam Flowmeter System", "A Stacked Fermentation and Cellar Fermentation System", and "An Automatic Grading and Picking System", which promoted the informatization, automation, low-carbon and scientific development of Moutai's brewing technology.
