The 2025 Aston Martin DBX707 is officially unveiled with a new interior upgrade

Aston Martin has unveiled the mid-life facelift DBX707 and made its official debut. The SUV was added to the Aston Martin lineup in 2020 to help increase sales, and a mid-life facelift usually brings significant design changes or powertrain upgrades. However, Aston Martin took a different path with the revamped DBX 707. The exterior design hasn't actually changed, as has the V-8 powertrain and suspension hardware. On the contrary, the biggest change is the almost completely new interior section. Aston Martin is now aligning the design of the model with its latest offering, while ditching the base model DBX, leaving only the DBX707 model.

The new DB12 and Vantage provide the inspiration for the DBX707's refreshed cab. A horizontal design line separates the instrument panel, separating the infotainment system from the instrument panel and center console. The steering wheel has been redesigned, and the central cover is smaller and more elegant. Unlike other modern luxury cars, the DBX707 retains a plethora of buttons and switches for controlling the HVAC system, steering feel, suspension settings, driving modes, and more.

Behind the new steering wheel is a 12.3-inch digital instrument display with a 10.25-inch screen for Aston Martin's next-generation infotainment software in the centre, running the company's own Linux-based Aston UX system. Connectivity has also been improved, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The cab structure and outdated user interface of the previous DBX were the most common reasons for owner complaints, which is why Aston Martin executives ordered a redesign of the DBX707. The new interior, as well as a new generation of infotainment systems developed in-house by Aston Martin, will give the DBX707 a new look, which is already seen in the DB12.

Almost every part of the new car's interior has changed, including a redesigned door card, a revised dashboard, and a more intuitive control layout. The DBX707's current center console is very similar to that found in the DB12 and upcoming Vantage, with a compact gear lever with physical controls for drive mode and HVAC functions.

Aston Martin will offer the updated DBX707 in three trim variants: Inspire Sport, Inspire Comfort and a custom Q piece. A 14-speaker, 800-watt sound system is standard, but customers can upgrade to a 23-speaker, 1,600-watt Bowers & Wilkins sound system.

Aston Martin has also expanded the colour options for the DBX707 with the introduction of five new shades: Epsilon Black, Helios Yellow, Sprint Green, Malachite Green and Aura Green. Podium Green, which was previously exclusive to the DBX707 ARM23 version, will now also be available.

The exterior remains largely unchanged, but there are some noticeable tweaks. The DBX707 now comes with door handles that push outward when the SUV is unlocked, as well as new mirrors with flush glass. On the mechanical front, the 2025 Aston Martin DBX 707 remains the same, with power still coming from a 697-horsepower twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 that powers all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission, both of which are supplied by the Mercedes-AMG subsidiary. Carbon-ceramic brakes, a torque-dividing rear differential, and a 48-volt anti-roll system are still standard. While the hardware remains the same, Aston promises that the air springs and adaptive dampers have been newly calibrated to "enhance transient body control".

According to Aston Martin, the DBX707 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 310 km/h. Braking power is provided by 16.5-inch (front) and 15.4-inch (rear) carbon-ceramic brakes hidden behind standard 22-inch wheels. 23-inch alloy wheels are also available as an option. Aston Martin will begin production of the new DBX707 in the second quarter of 2024, with deliveries starting in the third quarter, in other words, soon. Aston Martin didn't announce the price of the luxury SUV, but the current DBX707 starts at $245,085. Therefore, it is also possible to expect the price of the updated version to break through the $250,000 mark.
