Gatton, United Kingdom, October 14, 2024 – Aston ·Martin has unveiled the DB12 Goldfinger Edition. Crafted by Aston ·Martin's Q Bespoke department, the car is the ultimate expression of the ultra-luxury brand's personalisation to celebrate 60 years of collaboration with the James · Bond film franchise.
One of the most legendary collaborations in cinematic history began in 1964 with the release of 007: Goldfinger, when the Aston ·Martin DB5 made its debut on the big screen and became one of the world's most recognisable cars and a key part of the brand's legendary 'DB' range. Now, the latest iteration of this glorious collection is a gorgeous blend of 007 style.
To commemorate this historic milestone, the DB12 Goldfinger Edition will be available in a limited edition of 60 units worldwide, paying homage to the legendary collaboration that spans more than half of Aston ·Martin's 111-year history.
DB12 "Goldfinger" version
The DB5 that debuted in 007 Goldfinger is equipped with all the elaborate equipment that Bond needs to deal with his opponents, while the DB12 Goldfinger version focuses more on creating a more luxurious "James · Bond" driving experience, subtly incorporating subtle elements from the movie "007 Goldfinger".
The body of the DB12 "Goldfinger" version pays homage to the iconic birch silver color of DB5 in the movie "007 Goldfinger", which makes people fall in love at first sight. The striking 21-inch multi-spoke wheels feature a unique diamond-polished finish, black brake calipers, custom gold side trims, silver Aston ·Martin badging engraved in black enamel, and a dazzling chrome 'Q' fender badge that underlines the DB12's distinctiveness.
Inside this special edition model, the Sport+ leather seats feature the classic DB5 groove pattern with a crossover Prince of Wales check pattern, a fitting nod to the James · Bond suit. This design extends to the door liner and headliner, which is uniquely engraved on the exclusive pedals. The glossy sill plaque with the Goldfinger 60th Anniversary logo is a sign of unparalleled luxury.
The 18-carat gold-plated interior gives the driver a sense of luxury like never before. Accented with 18-carat gold-plated accents, the drive mode knob and roller controls, as well as the grooved gear selector, are inspired by the gold tracking devices used by Bond in the films. Metallic fibres and 2X2 twill high-gloss braided carbon fibres keep the theme alive in the veneer panels.
For Bond fans, the delicate "8 of Hearts" embroidery on the visor is undoubtedly a subtle nod to the famous final game of playing cards in the Miami pool scene of the movie "007: Goldfinger".
