The bamboo slips unearthed in Hunan not only have bamboo slips in the Warring States Period, but also the slips of Qin, Han, Three Kingdoms and Western Jin Dynasty, which contain a large number of archival materials and administrative and legal documents such as household registration, taxation and warehousing, as well as various ancient classics, the content is extremely extensive, involving various fields such as politics, economy, military, law, culture, etc., showing the social features of different historical periods in ancient China, and has an important role in promoting historical research.
In Hunan, the simple slips that carry thousands of years of history and culture are unrecognizable, and some of them are not legible after being unearthed, and some are presented as rotten wood chips or soft mud, which are staggered and stacked and adhered to each other. The Hunan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology is the main scientific research institution that undertakes the excavation, protection and finishing of the cultural relics of Hunan Province.
At the same time, in order to make the cultural relics "live" and "fire", the Changsha Bamboo Slips Museum has also launched a series of exhibitions and social education activities, so that the audience can get close to this "encyclopedia" spanning thousands of years, and have a deeper understanding of the Chinese wisdom, Chinese spirit and Chinese values contained in the ancient bamboo slips.
