On April 19th, international high-end audio-visual brands Focal and Naim held a new product media conference at the 31st Shanghai International High-end Audio-Visual Exhibition (TAS), officially releasing two products: the digital broadcast all-in-one NOVA PE and the hi-fi ARIA EVO X series.
The biggest highlight of the configuration is that it can provide 150W output power for each channel, which has an additional 70W power compared to the previous generation Nova, and users can directly access music through mobile devices such as mobile phones or tablets through the Focal & Naim app, support online music platforms such as Apple Music, and can also play music through USB ports and external storage devices.
In terms of fuselage design, NOVA PE is divided into two areas, left and right, all lines are located in the left area of the fuselage, and the right side integrates the power function, it is worth mentioning that the heat sink on both sides of the internal body of the NOVA PE fuselage integrates the antenna function, so that the device can obtain the wireless network connection function at the same time, the fuselage shell does not need to add the antenna layout.
The hi-fi ARIA EVO X Series is a new addition to Focal and is an evolution of the Aria 900 Series of speakers, with the Aria Evo X N°1 being a compact bookshelf model and the Aria Evo X N°2, Aria Evo X N°3 and Aria Evo X N°4 being floor-standing models, with the Aria Evo X N°3 and Aria Evo X N°The main difference between the 4 is that the former has three 6.5-inch woofers, while the latter has two 8-inch mid-woofers, both have their advantages, the Aria Evo X N°3 is more compact and has an advantage in speed, but the Aria Evo X N°4 has more bass diving ability. In addition, Focal has launched an Aria Evo X Center sound console to facilitate the construction of a home theater.
At the same time, the ARIA EVO X series hi-fi has added "M" shaped inverted dome TAM tweeter technology, which further increases the upper limit of the audio frequency of the series from the original 28kHz to 30kHz, and the alloy ratio of aluminum-magnesium alloy on the surface has also been corrected to a certain extent, so that the treble performance can obtain a better frequency response range and higher extension. The woofer also has the technical blessing of linen conical material, and a ring-like structure is added to the woofer side, which can significantly reduce the damping distortion of the woofer's vibration, so the bass effect is also a new level compared to the Aria 900 series.
In addition, while traditional floorstanding speakers tend to be front-leading or rear-directed, the ARIA EVO X Series not only has both front-facing and rear-directional airflow, but also supports downward direction, and spreads the downward-directed airflow throughout the space through a metal disc, making the sound more immersive.
In terms of price, the entry price of the ARIA EVO X series hi-fi is about 10,000 yuan, while the top configuration is only 49,000 yuan, which is really attractive for music enthusiasts, and audiophiles with sufficient budgets are worth trying.
