In order to make every effort to eliminate key road safety hazards and earnestly implement the action of "Seeking Governance No. 1 and Protecting Safety", recently, under the guidance of the Office of the District Road Safety Committee, led by the District Transportation Bureau, the District Highway Maintenance Section and the townships (streets) formed a working group to carry out the investigation and rectification of rural road traffic safety hazards in the whole region in accordance with the requirements of the action.
The working group went deep into the rural areas to focus on investigating the potential safety hazards of road sections such as sharp bends and steep slopes, continuous downhill slopes, tunnels and bridges, as well as security facilities on road sections near water and cliffs, ponds and ditches in rural areas; inspected the deceleration facilities at level crossings, the setting of signs and signs, and the hidden dangers of road sections passing through towns and villages; and inspected the protective capacity of accident-prone road sections and the safety measures of road sections prone to geological disasters during the rainy season and flood season.
A total of 169 hidden dangers of various types were investigated, and the Office of the District Road Safety Committee will make full use of the results of this investigation to conduct a comprehensive and in-depth understanding and grasp of the distribution, type and risk level of road hazards in the jurisdiction. Supervise and guide the District Transportation Bureau to formulate a plan and comprehensively manage and establish and improve a long-term mechanism for the management of road traffic safety hazards, eliminate road traffic safety hazards, and ensure traffic safety.
