#羽毛球世锦赛#羽毛球世锦赛是世界最高水平的单项赛事, so it is an individual project, not a group project.
Specifically, the World Badminton Championships is a badminton championship established by the International Badminton Federation (IBF) in order to meet the needs of the growing development of world badminton after the Thomas Cup and the Uber Cup.
In 1934, the International Badminton Federation was founded in the United Kingdom, which was the first worldwide badminton organization. In 1978, another organization, the Badminton World Federation, was founded. Prior to the union of the two organizations, they had already held two badminton competitions that each considered to be a world competition.
The International Badminton Federation (BWF) held tournaments in 1977 and 1980, while the BWF also held tournaments in 1978 and 1979. In 1981, the two international badminton organizations announced their union, but the name was still the International Badminton Federation.
It was decided by the Federation to hold the World Badminton Championships every two years, and continued the previous editions of the two Badminton Organizations.
Later, with the development of badminton, starting from 2003, the International Badminton Federation decided to separate the World Badminton Individual Championships from the Sudirman Cup (Sudirman Cup, also known as the World Badminton Mixed Team Championships, held in odd-numbered years) at different times and places, and from 2005 onwards, the World Badminton Championships will be changed from biennial to annual.
All in all, the Badminton World Championships is a single event that crowns the world's top badminton players, and it is the world's highest level of badminton single championship.
