In order to enhance the children's love for books and reading in Nandian Village, Baiying Town, the children's mother of Nandian Village planned a theme activity of "Spring Blossoms, Books in the Garden", hoping to open up a broader world for children through reading.
The mother of the children in Nandian Village first explained the origin of "World Book Day" to the children. In 1995, UNESCO declared 23 April as World Book Day, dedicated to promoting reading, publishing and the protection of intellectual property rights around the world. In 2004, in order to implement the "Knowledge Project" with the purpose of "advocating reading for all people and building a reading society", the Library Society of China held large-scale activities nationwide to let the public know about "World Book Day".
