The 2024 Big Buddha Street Bitter Bamboo Shoot Picking Experience Event will be held soon

In 2021, 2022 and 2023, the Big Buddha Street has held three consecutive cultural experience activities focusing on bitter bamboo shoot picking, attracting many citizens to sign up for participation and many tourists to visit and experience.
In 2024, Big Buddha Street will take the "May Day" Labor Day as an opportunity to use bamboo as a medium and bamboo shoots to meet friends, and will hold the 4th bitter bamboo shoot picking experience activity.
As the largest bitter bamboo shoot production area in Shizhong District, the bitter bamboo shoots in Palm Bridge Village, Dafo Street, have been famous for many years. More than 12,000 acres of bitter bamboo shoots were planted in Palmqiao Village, and through film covering, irrigation and moisturizing, warming and fertilization and other technologies, the bitter bamboo shoots were put on the market half a month earlier, and the implementation of the water and fertilizer integration project greatly improved the yield and quality of bitter bamboo shoots. At present, the annual output of bitter bamboo shoots in Palmqiao Village is more than 3,500 tons, with an output value of more than 30 million yuan.
Spring is the season when spring bamboo shoots grow, and it is also the best time to experience bamboo shoot digging. Carrying a hoe, walking into the bamboo forest, stepping on the soft soil to carefully look for the spring bamboo shoots that broke through the soil. 9:00-9:30 Report to the 4 groups of Baerwan sign-in in Palm Bridge Village.
9:30-9:40 Opening remarks by the moderator.
9:40-9:50 Leader of the opening speech and opening ceremony.
From 9:50 to 10:05, it was announced that it would enter the bitter bamboo shoot picking session, explain the method of picking bitter bamboo shoots, and distribute picking tools.
10:05-10:30 Announce the picking rules and sound the gong to start picking.
10:30-10:50 Gong picking is over, the tools are recovered, and the weight is weighed on site.
10:50-11:00 Award ceremony, group photo.
