In order to deeply understand the new curriculum standards, improve the teaching quality, and enhance students' language expression skills, on April 16, Suining Yangdu Experimental School organized a teaching and research activity with the theme of "Based on the New Curriculum Standards, Tempering Students' Expression Classroom Teaching Strategies", which was undertaken by the second-grade Chinese group.
Exemplary lessons
Teacher Sun Qingqing led the children of Class 2.1 to bring a lively and interesting lesson - "Spider Opens a Shop". At the beginning of the class, Ms. Sun created a scenario to guide students to understand the various shops in their daily lives. Through free reading, students quickly sorted out the plot of the story and grasped the main content of the text. By focusing on the three language expression tasks of "telling stories, giving tips to spiders, and continuing to make up stories", the students' language expression skills were fully mobilized. Students boldly express and communicate in the classroom, different ideas collide with each other, and countless sparks of inspiration burst out!

In the course evaluation and discussion, Ms. Jiang Xiaoying, Ms. Liu Qinghua, and Ms. Zhang Yan shared their thoughts and suggestions from the aspects of textbook interpretation, reading guidance, and problem exploration.
Keynote Lectures
Teacher Wang Qiao brought a theme lecture on "Based on the New Curriculum Standard, Let Expression Take Root Naturally in the Lower Classroom". In the lecture, Mr. Wang deeply interpreted the requirements of "expression and communication" in the new curriculum standard, analyzed the current situation of classroom expression of students in the lower grades, and put forward some ways to improve students' expression ability, such as: enriching reading and communication inside and outside the classroom, creating oral situations, etc. Finally, Mr. Wang put forward his best wishes to the children, hoping that every child's expression can be as smooth and natural as breathing!
Summary of the event
Vice President Xia Ju made a comprehensive summary of this teaching and research activity and affirmed the success of this teaching and research. She proposed that education should be shared and developed, and hoped that every teacher would actively share their own education and teaching methods. In addition, the evaluation criteria for storytelling should be consistent and encouraged for every teacher to use them.
